Is getting your nose broken an occupational hazard of boxing?

I do know that it put me off taking up boxing as a hobby for this reason.

It also led to the defeat of Israel Vasquez in his first fight with Marquez. I think it also led to the death of Harry Grebb, who was trying to fix his nose. I also think Hector Camacho never broke his nose in his career but do not know if that is true.

Breaking your nose wouldnt have mattered a bit , you are an ugly bastard anyway

It was because I got a great face that I stopped boxing.
