I think Smoger was half convinced (somehow) that Jones jr was playing possum
Sorry about that, I would have normally put "spoiler" in the thread, but I was mixed in emotion. It's very hard to watch because Jones became safety first after watching his friend GMAN's career end because of the war with Benn. Now if he doesn't stop he will have permanent damage. Hopefully not as bad as Gman.

Im a big rj fan..but he looked out of shape and finished..and how did he blow all hhis
Money?!!
RJJ isn't broke. That's just what everyone assumes when they continue to fight past an obvious retirement date. It's just what they do.

Since Jones isn't going to stop fighting on his own accord.... it's up to the licensing authorities to keep him from getting into a ring again.... for his own good. Amazing how even the thought of brain damage later in life doesn't deter someone like Jones, who has fighting in his blood. People around him have to protect him from himself. He's even endangering his commentating career.
Man i feel for Jone fans i mean i am Holyfeild fan and that shit just getting old.
Jones probably got another $1,000,000 or so for fighting Lebedev in Moscow, and as long as Jones is still considered a "big name" and keeps getting that kind of money, he'll continue to fight. In a way you can't blame him, but sadly he's only a punch or 2 from becoming a veggie.
can't watch this anymore...
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
Roy Jones, Jr. "What I've Learned," Esquire 2003
Man that was sad, I only saw the last round but fuck thats enough for me. I saw Roy stopped by Danny Green live and I walked out as soon as the ref called it. Couldnt dare to listen to Green fans claim his greatness for beating a faded legend, I would of decked one for sure (an australian decking a fellow australian for supporting an australian...i probably would of been killed in a riot) lol Please Roy use your talents to help other boxers, be a sparring partner for up and coming fighters but stop fighting.
Lebedev is now a legend. As the commentator in the Jones-Green fight said, "When you beat a legend you become a legend!"
Roy Jones needs his licence revoking.
The man is a danger to himself & I can only see him ending up one way; punch drunk & broke.
That KO was one of the saddest sights I've seen in boxing.
I can barely believe that it was the same guy who had almost supernatural speed, reflexes & athleticism not that long ago.
The Kryptonite is definitely in Roy's veins now.
Even all his muscles have virtually disappeared!!!
