Thanks all for your responses. I do understand that there is a difference between robbery and fix. I was trying to make the point that if you already know you will win before the fight starts, then it is as good as a fix. Really liked what was said about casino fights...
To give regard to Hulk's comments, Rabah did have the opportunity to put Urango's a** on the canvas so that the decision could not come in Urango's favor, but who didn't know that Rabah is a volume, action, unorthodoxed fighter? Sweet Pea used to do the same thing, except his movement was more fluid. He really had no power, and simply outboxed MANY a power puncher.
Now HULK, I gave you props, but I have to also say this: You keep judging the fight on what you didn't like about Rabah, but no one can deny that Urango landed under 20%! This is a championship fight, and Rabah was landing 3, 4 and 5 punch combinations, then getting out of there before Urango could even touch him. At the end (8-12), Rabah slowed down, but that doesn't mean Urango did any better! Neither man was a champion, so they had to TAKE the title. Rabah won with his head, his fists and his feet. Urango simply could not get the job done--I had it 117-111 or 116-112 (two viewers) for Rabah.
And yes... there should be some way to review decisions when the commentators, experienced boxers & FANS of the hometown winner are booing the decision.
