You're right. For a man who came back from a one year layoff, I think his performance was decent.. Everyone has been knocking on him for going the distance with Lopez instead of giving him credit for putting in good rounds.. Not only was he rusty, but he had an undefeated fighter in front of him and those types of opponents are not easy to beat. Not only that but Lopez was pretty slick and it's hard to look good against someone like him..
What I saw was a more composed Pavlik. He was experimenting some new moves such as his short left hook and I was impressed by it. Given his inactivity, I think he was trying to put in some good rounds to shake off the rust..
Pavlik/Abraham makes sense at this point imo...
