Not sure he would have been able to outpoint Arguello had the fight taken place a few years later on in his career. Can't knock him though, had he truly loved the sport he would have been even better and that is a frightening thought.
This fight was a BIG learning experience for El Flaco. He went back to school on it and became a much better fighter. Less that a year later Olivares was only able to befuddle him for 7-8 rounds before Alexis began to walk him down.
