It seems that everything will be changing at a rapid pace now I hope my feeble mind can keep up.
That just makes him a cardboard cliche type character, and unrealistic too as those kinds of always honorable in each and every situation type people just plain don't exist.

We always try and immortalise hero type characters, turning them into paragons of virtue and integrity.

But no such people really exist in the world, and certainly didn't back then, hence I find him a bit boring and fake. Just an always white character to whom the audience is supposed to relate as being the morally decent one.

The other characters are far more realistic.

So Littlefinger wants the crown for himself. Good on him, see that's what I want to see, a bit of authentic ambition.
Not following your logic, none of the characters exist in the real world, I guess emulating real life is not one of my requirements of enjoying fiction. How do you feel about Jesus then? Does he not have the same white character qualities? (Albeit to a different code).
Jesus was God made manifest, who lived and died a sinless death in order to pay the price for the sins of the rest of us. He wasn't a mortal human the way we are and had to come for that very reason, to live the perfect life that we aren't capable of living ourselves.

Anyway, not saying Ned Stark is Jesus level pure, he did push Littlefinger up against the wall in an act of jealously I guess. His beheading of the Nighwatch deserter was still him blamelessly following his code however.

I would like Ned a lot more if he actually did what literally every other human being would do in his situation, and make a grab for the throne, for self preservation and the security of his family as much as anything else.

Khal Drogo is growing on me a little bit. I liked the way he called Denerys his moon princess and his war speech was pretty cool. I'd rather see him king than any of the others although I guess it's unlikely to happen.

I would guess that Khal Drogo and Jaimie Lanister might well be destined to meet on the battlefield although probably not in this series with just 3 episodes to go.

I'm presuming the series will end with the Dothraki just starting to set sail and another highprofile death on the mainland..
