It is what it is, a tuneup to stay sharp. Long layoffs are not healthy for an aging fighter like Marquez so he's trying to get some rounds in against any southpaw.

I just hope we get some competent judges that'll make the right call for the trilogy.

Knockdowns did occur, yes, but a fighter is expected to finish the job once he's knocked his opponent down that many times.. Pacman failed at that because once he got figured out, it was a whitewash....

BTW lil legend Rafael Marquez will be fighting on the same card!!!
A novice? this guy is comedy gold.
Did you forget the first fight where Marquez made him look like a one-armed novice?

Yea you're right, JMM couldn't beat a one arm novice and that one arm knocked him down 3 times
IT's a 12 round fight.. What happened after the first round? school was in session.. Pac couldnt even finish a guy that he knocked down 3x so what does that say about him?? VERY LIMITED and SIMPLE MINDED...

This just proves what a great fighter Marquez is..

And if you ever get to talk to Pac, ask him why he ran scared of In Jin Chi back in 2007.
You know it was that fight that started it all. The embarrassment of losing to a man after scoring 3 knock downs in one round is what led to Pacqauio's performance enhancing usage. Marquez-Pacquiao 1 is Manny's last fight 100% clean. It's common knowledge to all but Pac groupies

I don't hold it against Pacquiao for not fighting Chi. Chi had no name and if anybody was juiced more than Manny it was Chi. Morales by all rights should of killed Chi that night. He landed flush so many times. But Chi barely flinched.

I disagree. 50% of the time, maybe.

    Pacquiao didn't fail...

    He won!

Yea, Im convinced that Pac is on that shit.

But I got to speak up for Chi.. What really went down... If you look at the Korean history, it's no mystery that these Korean fighters are equipped with some granite ass chins. They may not be the most skilled, but they make it up with their relentlessness and durablity. I know CHI personally and God knows that he's clean..

Back in december of 2006, Chi won the WBC FW title from Rudy Lopez and immediately after that, Pac and his camp wanted to face Chi in an all Asian showdown. The fight was 80% done to take place in MACAU but out of nowhere, Pac backed out at the last minute and chose to face Jorge Solis instead... You see, Roach/pac viewed Chi as a mere tuneup but once they got hold of his tapes, they realized what kind of shit they were in so they had a change of heart. Chi fought a prime Morales and took him to hell and back while Pacman got beatdown by an over the hill version...

Again, Pacman is on some mad drugs.

C'mon bruh, in situations like that, most fighters finish the job... unless they are one dimensional.

Some say that Chi was a nobody which was why pac avoided him... Well he was a champion during that time and alot more credible than Oscar Larios and Jorge Solis for godsakes.. Pac backed out of a deal to face Solis.. If Chi was a nobody, then Solis was a somebody??

So where's Chi now (I honestly don't know)? Boxrec says his last fight was in 2006. Is he okay?

Plus. Jorge Solis was undefeated when Pacquiao KOed him. Chi already has 3 losses at that time.

ahahah you're starting to sound like Floyd now.. The man you guys despise the most... I knew somebody was going to bring up that undefeated record talk.... Let's be real bro, perfect records dont mean shit and all the true boxing fans know that.. Chi was less credible than Solis because he had losses on his record? You dont even believe that.. Solis was an epitome of a fighter with a padded record and there's no way that he was more worthy than Chi who was an established fighter..

After pac backed out, Chi had nowhere else to go and because he's been having management issues, he decided to hang them up... His managment have been cheating him out of money for years and K-1 offered him a multi-million dollar contract so he went with that..

Chi is a K-1 fighter now.

Pac ran out of time in that round... it is simple as that. In situation like that, most ref would have stopped the fight. That's why I have big respect for JMM. He's got huge heart. Kudos to the ref too.

But lemme make this clear. JMM did NOT school him. Both guys were giving and taking toe to toe the rest of the rounds.

It's a 3 minute round and pacman ran out of time. Whose fault is that??

And if you want to get technical, Pac could have got disqualified for hitting marquez when he was down.. He could have got a point taken away or at worst, got DQd... So either way, there's no way that the first round could have been 10-6..

The 3rd KD (2:25) was in the heat of the moment. It wasn't like Barrera hitting Marquez while he was down.

I seriously doubt Pac is scared of Chi. WHo to be honest was never an elite fighter that would have trouble him.

Next someone is going to tell me Park Si Hun dominated Roy Jones in the gold medal round.
