Nice gesture on his part. Wish more of boxers would look out for one another. Seems at times no one else does.

This is a very nice gesture by Floyd Mayweather.
Here is Floyd in his natural habitat so to speak, on a date with Chili from the group TLC and its rather amusing:
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
As much as I dislike him for everything he does represent, the only thing you can say for such gesture is: Thanks Floyd, that is very kind and human for you to take care of such matters.

Boxing is such a cruel sport, but seeing boxers pay respect, honor and camaraderie to one another makes you think that after all, boxing makes fighters more human.
Props to Floyd.
i agree it is nice. but he aint the 1st boxer to help other boxer's or their families. still it is a nice gesture of altruism.

But most of us don't consider the holocaust part of his 'softer side' Miles
Anyway, there's no surprise here, Floyd clearly cared about Genaro deeply & paid for a lot of his medical bills & helped support his family after Genaro got sick (as did Bob Arum). I'm glad this site has decent posters, some of the stuff said about this on other sites has been truly disgusting. Anyway props Floyd
if this is true , it is shocking!!!
i never would have thought of floyd as helping anyone.
a classy move if true.
The same usually, but I first read this the other night having googled Genaro's funeral. I got a read of ESB full of people saying it was a publicity stunt. Fuckin' clever one as it relied of Genaro's brother Rudy (who is a cutman) seeing a journalist at UFC 131 & telling him
Thank god, this site is full of posters with a semblance of humanity.
