If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Favorites:
Michael Watson: I liked his slick boxing style. He covered up well and threw crisp combos, short punches. I loved watching him school Nigel Benn.
David Haye: I just want him to do well in the HW division because he's generally fun to watch and he's charismatic. It'll be good for the sport if he does well.
Least favorites:
Joe Calzaghe: I don't like his slapping style, or his annoying fanboys. He's a very good fighter, I just don't like him.
Nigel Benn: His favorite punch was a looping right hand to the brain stem. Yeah, I know most top guys bend the rules, but I can't still make exceptions and dislike certain dirty fighters and like some, right?
Indifferent:
Lennox Lewis: I disliked him when he fought, but now I'm indifferent about him. I've always given him his credit though as I feel he was a great heavyweight who had some explosive KOs and entertaining bouts despite his (undeserved) reputation as a boring fighter. He stinks as a commentator though.
Naseem Hamed: Like Lewis, I disliked him when he fought, but I've grown to respect him more. He often gets underrated for his achievements. His antics and personality, annoying as they might've been, brought attention to boxing and electricity to the arena. Boxing could use another fighter like him.
Frank Bruno: Closer to liking him than disliking him, but still rather indifferent about him. Sort of the "lovable loser". Couldn't help but be kind of happy for him when he finally won a world title belt against Oliver McCall.
Ricky Hatton: He used to be more exciting, but as he's gotten older, and also facing higher levels of opposition, he's gotten very ugly to watch. He seems like a likeable guy, although I think he's run that "Fatton" joke into the ground. Some say he tries too hard to play the "just one of the guys" type of persona. Maybe the British fans can help me on this, but does he really try hard to do that or do the media just ask him about it and he responds?
Favorites:
David Haye: Exciting, real power and a questionable chin. I really look forward to seeing if he can shake up the Heavyweight division.
Ian Napa: Does what he can with what he has. Shows great heart.
Least Favorite:
Audley Harrison: It's painful to watch this guy
Danny Williams: Bores me to tears as well Skelton vs. Williams won a big who cares from me.
Junior Witter: This era's Naz
Indifferent:
Ricky Hatton:
Joe Calzaghe:
Don't even think Joe won the fight. He wouldn't have beaten a prime Hopkins or Jones. Wouldn't call Calzaghe my least favourite, though, because he could fight and was very good, just not an all time great in my opinion.
My fave was John Conteh, who if he had Calzaghe's dedication , would have been our best ever. Least favourite is hard cos I respect most fighters, but at one point it was Naz, due to his cockiness. I accept he was a huge talent, though.
In terms of styles and skills, Eubank and Kevin Mitchell has always floated my boat. I like David Haye too but to a lesser extent..
GUys that are rubbish in my eyes are Calzaghe ( although he's no British ) and Ricky Hatton who I dislike very much as a fighter. TO me, Ricky Hatton is one of the most boring fighters ever, he was like a John Ruiz mini-me with that same ole tactic of punch grab punch grab punch grab punch grab.... I can't stand the guy... I just hope Hatton stays retired and never comes back.. For a guy with such lousy boxing ability, he did pretty good for himself so i give him that.. But he would have been better off as a wrestler in the WWE. He could have wrestled side by side with British the bulldog.. They could have called him the Manchester Midget.. It's mind boggling how some actually found his style to be exciting.. smh
Favorite: Chris Eubank. Such an interesting character, and a skilled boxer obviously. Despite his flashy persona and his antics, he was tough as nails with a great chin.
Least Favorite: This is a hard one because I must admit that I'm biased AGAINST British fighters, and there are very few Brits that I ever rooted for.
I guess if I had to pick a least favorite I'd pick Froch.
Just seeing his trash mother and annoying girlfriend cheering him on made my blood boil haha.
favourite Lennox, Herol Graham, Benn, Hatton
Not favourite Hamed, Khan, Mason, Minter, Sibson
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Favourites
Benn - true warrior and I was a bag of nerves every time he was in the ring
Lewis - a top ten all time HW class act who lost twice for being a lazy get (and not a class act)
Frank Bruno - shite but we all loved him. 'Hold him Frank. Hold him !!!!' who can forget that night
Eubank (post 1997) - became a fan when he started losingWas at his first fight v Carl Thompson and went from wanting him sparked to cheering him on a la Rocky IV.
Least favourite
Eubank (pre 1997) - couldnt stand him. Or maybe I just misunderstood
Amir Khan - blessed with talent and a chin short of being potentially the greatest fighter these shores have ever produced. But I think he is a wanker who believes his own hype. Will never forget his 'let's compare my bank balance with Maidana's and see who the biggest superstar is' . Prick
Naseem Hamed - never thought he was as good as everyone and himself believed. Loved it when I was proved right
On the Fence
David Haye - two years ago was on verge of being a huge fan but inactivity and his apparent lack of desire to be a great put me off him. Has a chance to redeem himself in three weeks time
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
