Floyd has fought and overcome all styles and sizes and Ortiz is nothing new. He either goes all offense or all defense and is unable to mix them up well, there's no in between with him. If he attacks Floyd, he'll get taken apart cuz that what Floyd relishes. He's at his best when fighters get offensive on him plus ortiz is in some more deep trouble here because Floyd fights southpaws very aggresively. ORtiz has no edge over floyd from the outside or on the inside so I just dont see his size being any kind of problem.
I believe that the article on wrist size related to a fighters power is a myth because the original author used selective numbers from only a few fighters and came up with a theory based on his sampling. It just doesn't have enough evidence to prove anything and is highly subjective. You could easily turn the theory around and use small sized wrist fighters that have power.

Basically but Not exactly. I'm only saying Roger's concern about Pacquiao is misplaced because Ortiz has the "potential" to do more damage to his nephew with a well placed punch.

To address the second part of your post anyone who says Ortiz has the skill set to give Mayweather problems doesn't watch Mayweather fights. Having said that, Ortiz can be at 24, having desire and coupled with Floyd's low output also has the potential to give Floyd problems. I think Floyd will bait Ortiz the same as he does with many pressure fighters. I think this is exactly why Floyd got caught by Mosley in the second round.

Does Ortiz punch harder than Chico or Dela Hoya? I don't think it matters. What really matters is how many times he can catch Mayweather with a clean shot to the head. It only takes one clean punch in the right place to produce a KO. I'm almost positive if the fight goes the distance, Ortiz loses on the cards. And I'm also almost positive that Floyd won't put himself into an offensive position long enough to KO Ortiz.
johnny.. why are you arguing with the guy? with his concept, a cotton ball and a marble is the same. same round shape and about the same size. it doesnt matter that a marble weigh about 3 times as much. and if you hit somebody with it, they wont say that it hurts the same as if you got hit by a cotton ball.

You're starting to remind me of those pactards from ESB.. I bet you're one of those casual observers who thinks size is an end all to everything..you're one of those cats who think football players will fuck up boxers because they're so BIG and BUFF lol yea, Like FLoyd never beat bigger and better fighters than Ortiz before. smh

IF FLoyd were to get in the ring with Sergio Martinez for instance, then we can put some stock into size.... You have no idea what you're talking about.
