Haye vs Wlad being billed as a fight between two of the best heavyweights ever...

Guess whoever billed it as that never watched Ali vs Foreman or Holyfield vs Bowe or Tyson vs Holyfield 1 or Marciano vs Walcott 1, etc.

No its more false advertising then anything else. The casual boxing fan is going to be like "fuck i need to buy this coz these guys are two of the best ever"...Wlad may rank but Haye certainly doesnt. Cant even rank him as a top cruiserweight. Hes an exciting fighter when he fights but hes barely fought anyone. I still would of rathered watching him vs Adamek at cruiserweight or heavy...or better yet I would of loved watching Haye knock Danny Green the fuck out.

I could give you a few that arguably did better than Haye in the CWD: Evander Holyfield,Carlos De Leon, Johnny Nelson, James Toney. Still, Haye has been a very good CW, I just don't think he has what it takes to beat either Wladimir or Vitali and the way to motivate Wladimir that much before the fight was definitely not his smartest tactical move.

thats 4 and even if they did do better than haye, that would put haye 5th and then he could be considered a top cruiser, even if you could name a couple more that did better being 6th or 7th would still make him a top cruiser. (IMO only evanda would have given him a fight)

Haye does have what it takes to beat wlad, he isnt favourite but he definately has the tools

i replied to the post suggesting he wasnt a top cruiser coz it seems to me that hayes personality has got to some boxing fans so much that they are unrealistic about the fight

they come out with crazy suggestions like on some threads i read on here, heres some recent examples - he doesnt have the power to trouble wlad, he would lose to chagaev and chambers, he wasnt a top cruiserweight, and the list goes on

Wlad is most definately the favourite going into the fight but haye has a very real chance of winning
