He took the money and ran, he is probably still jogging somewhere with a very healthy debit card in his pockets.

Clottey was suppose to come back and fight this year at 154. I don't know what happen but the fight didn't go on of course. Clottey said if he fights again, the check have to be healthy.
Maybe he know, he will never be consider the best so he's given up.
Clottey was one of my favorite boxers, but his showing against Pacman hurt his rep. IMO, I hope he come back. I still believe he can make some noise. I'll match him up against Mosley as a turn up, cross road fight. Then maybe a Berto, M. Hatton or Mike Jones if he can still make weight at 147. Maybe even Bradley. If he can't make 147, the 154 division will invite Clottey with open arms.
Clottey vs . . .
Sergei Dzinziruk
Antonio Margarito
Kermit Cintron
Austin Trout
Cornelius Bundradge
and will like to see
Cotto 2
and if Saul has the power to KO Clottey

I hate Clottey for his inept performance against Pac Man, which should be an opportunity of a life time to make even more money, not just lay down and take a beating. He is spoilt now, because he actually thinks he is worth the money he got for his performance. The longer he has not fought the less likely he is to return. He will come back and earn a smaller amount of money and probably get beat by a lesser fighter because he is not motivated enough.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

He was supposed to fight a month or two ago but tripped on a pothole while jogging and injured himself so he had to pull out.
