I've found out that there is a lot of unknown even from Toney about this fight. He has never even seen Ken Shamrock, doesn't even know what he looks like. Two different dates along with two different distributors. I just read from an interview with Toney that the fight will allow takedowns and grappling, but for no more than 30 seconds at a time...at which point the fight will be stood up again. Take it for what it's worth.

So why not just find an opponent and then box? I just don't understand this MMA/fusion stuff. The last opponent was supposed to be a tune up for something better and all he has done is revert back to the stuff that made everyone laugh at him. As a fan of Toney, if he is to do anything, I want to see him box. I don't think I am being particularly demanding. Doesn't any fan just want to see their fighter do what he does best?

Shamrock puts him in an arm bar in about 20 seconds, or an ankle lock. Shamrock is pretty old though, and most of the mma guys would smack him around. This is just 2 big names with faded abilities. Toney can do w/e he wants I could give a crap, I had a slight hope maybe 2 years ago he was gonna go for another shot at a heavyweight belt, but his lack of discipline or whatever his fat ass problem is pretty much killed that thought.
