This is such a distorted view. Marciano wrecked the division and I defy anyone to find a fight where Walcott was better than he was in the first fight with the Rock. Moore was 175 champ for another seven years after Rocky stopped him.
What's with the gay silliness by the way? You think that adds something here?

Walcott only weighed 12 pounds heavier than rock did in the first fight and 13 pounds heavier in the second fight. 1 inch height advantage and 7 inch wingspan advantage. Vlad gets a hell of a lot more advantage than that in most of his fights.

That was a brutal KO for sure but Rocky did not have to hit him again, this is not MMA. Rocky was a dirty fighter.

Arms, shoulders, hips etc. Greb was a dirty fighter as was Wilde. Norfolk was a thumber. Langford was probably thumbed more then anyone in boxing history. What we consider "dirty" today in many ways was "normal" fighting in past eras.
That punch was remarkable. A counter that looked like a lead. Perfect applied distance by Marciano. Instinctively knew it would get to the mark sooner even if Joe started to throw first.
It's a dirty business, and Rocky was no Saint, but I don't believe he ever had a reputation as a dirty fighter. I'd agree that the last little shot on Walcott was late, but I don't think Marciano would have thrown it if he realized Walcott was unconscious, more like a reflex.
