Truefully.  He was an outstanding boxer.  With a great jab.  He had very good defense.  And his chin was pretty good. Problem was he had no power.  He had Sergio Mora power.  He also never fought outside of Germany.  That right there is why he's constantly bad mouthed.  He earned numerous, actually he was given numerous gift wins.  His wins over Charles Brewer (both of them) Byran Mitchell, Robin Reid (this one was really bad) Mads Larsen and Thomas Tate (the first one) were all gifts.  They weren't "it could of gone either way" wins.  They were straight robberies.  And they praise him in Germany for it.  The only thing I would say about Ottke was that he was active.  He averaged about 4 fights a year.  Which is unheard of for Champions today.
