Default Pacquiao vs Marquez III- fight to use instant replay

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) has approved the use of the instant replay in Pacquiao’s 12-round showdown with Marquez on November 12 for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight crown.

NAC executive director Keith Kizer said the instant replay is going to assure the decision made by the referee will not be controversial like in their first two meetings.

The instant replay rule will also be used in professional unarmed combat sports like boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) in Nevada State.

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) has now utilized instant replay following other major sports in North America. I hope improvement on Drug Testing is not far off from happening.

I guess I didn't realize that Pacquiao vs. Marquez III was a done deal yet, that's good news.

As far as the instant replay, I don't think I know enough about how it works yet, to give an intelligent opinion. In regards to using it in the trilogy, I don't think it will be necessary or needed, Pacquiao is going to crush Marquez, this time it's not going to a decision.

Really need the details here to speak intelligently...or at least the way I usually speak.

    This is the amended rule:
    http://www.leg.state.nv.us/register/RegsReviewed/$R003-09A.pdf

    4. After making a determination, a referee may view a replay, if available, at the

caused by a legal blow or a foul.

    (a) If the determination is made that the injury was the result of a legal blow, the injured
unarmed combatant shall be determined to have lost the contest via technical knockout.

    (b) If the determination is made that the injury was the result of a foul, it must be
determined whether the foul was intentional or accidental.

    (1) If deemed intentional, the outcome of the contest shall be determined in accord with
    NAC 467.698; or

    (2) If deemed accidental, the outcome of the contest shall be determined in accord with
    NAC 467.702 or 467.7966.

    (b) He is hanging over the ropes without the ability to protect himself and he cannot fall to
    the floor [.] ; or
    (c) The unarmed combatant would have fallen to the floor but was held up by the ropes.

    2. A referee may count an unarmed combatant out if the unarmed combatant is on the floor
or is being held up by the ropes.

    3. The provisions of this section do not apply to a contest or exhibition of mixed martial
    arts.

They gave the UFC judges monitors so they could score more effectively as due to the cage its hard to see certain parts of the octagon. I see this as being a good idea, we have technology, we should take advantage of it.

Great!!! Leaving nothing to chance!Just thinking of the dubious knockdown scored vs PAC against Barrera, the cut suffered by PAC vs Morales from a butt but the ref said from a punch, Mosley's knockdown vs PAC (thank God the judges didnt score it).
    Greatest new ever!!!!
