I can't believe any pro boxer would get beat up and effectively mugged. They'd dodge it, block it, or knock the other guy out.

i once saw don broadhurst get a bit of a slapping in a nightclub in Tamworth shortly after hed won the commonwealth, his next fight which was a couple weeks after was called off ... according to frank warren it was for 'visa issues' for his opponent

Broadhurst is only about 4ft though. I bet the bloke that duffed him up looked like a wrong-un for picking on a liitle guy.

Whoever whacked DeGale just confirmed his solid chin. The tooth was one of those false things. There's no reports of DeGale being bothered in the slightest.

It is not funny seeing a boxer get punched in the face for who he is, even if it is someone his own mother would want to slap. There are plenty of “no marks” trying to get some attention by doing this cowardly act. These cowards need to be forced to spent 9 minutes in the ring with Degale so that he can punch the living daylights out of them.

Also in the documentary I did see that De gale had at least one false tooth he took out and handed to Jim McDonald, so it was probably that one.
