Ward/froch thoughts

Abraham hardly threw punches. He has hard punches but he didn't land much. Ward has an awkward irritating style but like Dirrel, if Froch can't hit the target, he's in trouble. He got lucky with Dirrel because Dirrell refused to fight most of the fight. That's the only reason he got the decision against Dirrell, because Dirrell didn't want to fight most of the fight. The judges gave it to the man who wanted to fight. If Dirrell didn't run and hold 10 out of 12 rounds he would have got the decision. Froch just couldn't land a punch on him. He's going to have similar problems with Ward. Froch better work on speed and accuracy. Expect a lot of holding.

Cheat might not be the correct word, but he's far from what I would refer to as a clean fighter. I want to say ward wins this but hell froch often finds a way to win when I didn't think he had a chance. I just hope this isn't a stinkfest but I see it being one.

If he was a cheater, he would be disqualified by now. Apparently the people who DO decide what is and is not cheating, don't see it the same way you do.

Like I said he's far from a clean fighter, and most anybody would agree with that assesment.

It's hardly surprising that he's never been disqualified since he never fights outside of Oakland. He gets away with a lot.

Not that the rough-stuff should bother someone like Froch too much. I think Ward will win a close decision due to superior hand speed and movement, but Froch will give it a good go. I doubt Froch will get any favours from the judges either. Ward is where the money is (potentially)

Froch needs to turn this fight into a Pascal-like war, he's physically the stronger of the two. I want to see Ward's chin severely tested.

Hopefully I will be attending this one live, whether it's NY or Vegas.

Yeah, because boxing officials are clean and honest, referees see everything that a fighter does and boxing isn't surrounded by business and politics.
