We've been tricked. That's no Mayweather, that's an imposter. No confrontation when they touched nose? Didn't Floyd have a scuffle with Shane when they touched? And how many times did he thank the fans there?

Kidding aside, I wish this is just Floyd reinventing himself, making himself a gentler, kinder person. He will get back some fans that he lost and gain new ones by being this way.
What the non boxing fans who judge a fighter on the way they talk to the media outside the ring rather than the boxing fan who only cares about what a fighter does in the ring?

You don't half talk some shit.
If you were paying attention to the comment instead of who wrote the comment you would have understood it.

That comment is about gaining fans and not about legacy. If you think Floyd does not care about getting some fans, then you're wrong. He cares even if it's only during the promotions for his fights. Why do you think he keeps thanking the fans in that speech? It's the general public (maybe this is what you call the nonboxing fans) who catapults a PPV into a megahit.

As you can see, I refrained myself from hurling insults and name-calling. I can be civil even if you are not.

I'm actually excited to see this fight. First, cause mayweather is back in the ring. Second, Ortiz is pretty big and is a reasonable opponent. But Mayweather still wins this one.
