Gotta hand it to Haye, tho. I mean... if weren't for his running at the mouth, how many of us would be anxiously awaiting this fight? The man deserves a whole lot of credit for building the anticipation for this fight. Like I posted earlier though... I just hope it's a good fight and lives up to the hype.
No doubt about that, Haye gets an A + for his promotion efforts, the problem for him now is, if he can't back up what he says, he's gonna look like a fraud/fool. He'd better at least make it interesting for a while before getting KTFO.
BTW, this fight comes on in about 5 hours, woooohoooo!
Haye ko 4
Newcomer on here!i feel more needs to be made of the fuss about the referee this week, spotlight will be on him if he allows for wlad to constantly hold booth will go mental along with the british fans and it will turn into a bore,if he starts to warn wlad and puts a stop to it it will seriously mess up wlads plans..hes said all way through the build of this fight he wil jab jab hold!It would allow haye to get combinations in close instead of potshots then being grabbed by wlad...if this happens wlad will be in serious trouble from the first bell.
Im really excited about this fight - gonna watch it in city centre before clubbing
Noone knows for sure what is going to happen - thats one thing that makes this fight a must watch one and really great
I am seeing Wlad trying to do his jabbing to keep Haye away, but Haye being much too fast - faster than any heavyweight Wlad has ever fought. Im seeing Wlad missing endlessly as Haye ducks and dodges. I have heard people say there is nothing more tiring in boxing than mising with a punch. And I can see Wlad doign so many jabs into thin air that he tires himself out.
As Wlad gets tired and more predictable like a robot, Haye will pick his moment and unleash a ferocious barage of punches that land 15 times on Wlad's glass chin - and it is goodnight Vienna
Haye by KO between rounds 6 and 8
what time are these two expected in the ring uk time??

On paper Haye has a very slim chance and if you had your house on the out come you gotta go with Dr steelhammer logic sais so, being English and a fan of the under dog I have to go with Haye on points or KO, both scenarios are possible, we could see a boring snooze fest which I think we would all be pissed off at, I see Haye taking a couple of eight counts in this fight due to temple shots that seem to be Davids weekness, the chin seems ok to me high shots on the noggin are the ones that upset the apple cart, Wlad on the other hand seems a beast when he is running the show, if you give him time, space and let him work at his own pace he will win, Haye has to take him out of his comfort zone beat him to the punch not allow Wlad to dictate, use speed, power and nifty footwork to get his shots off and not be counterd easier said than done I know. So all us Brits lets pull together and support our guy no complaints what ever the result, the best man won on the night. On a side note really looking forward to reading all the crap after the fight big portions of crow to be eaten if some how our man pulls off the upset.

Haye might have a good start, but once Wlad establishes his jab, he's going to break him down, and eventually knock him out. When? It depends on what Haye does once Wlad gets settled. If he stands and fights, KO in the 5th. If he starts to run, KO in the 7th or 8th.

I haven't posted on here for literally years! (used to go by the name of Fatmatt)
I find this fight pretty difficult to call to be honest.
We know all there is to know about Wlad, but Haye has never faced a truly credible opponent at heavyweight and we just don't know how good he is, which makes it kind of interesting.
Haye is clearly the more adventurous with more movement and better handspeed etc, but I have a feeling Wlad is just too big and hits too hard for Haye to cope with. If Haye tries to use the same tactics he used against Valuev it won't work because Wlad is a whole lot quicker and more mobile than Valuev. If Haye tries that I can see Wlad catching him as he comes in - especially if he jumps in with those lunging hooks.
Having said all that, Wlad doesn't seem to cope too well under pressure. If Haye can set a fast pace and really get at Wlad early on I can see him falling apart.
For me the outcome of the fight depends on the tactics Haye uses. If he goes for it and takes the fight to Wlad at a fast pace and gets inside he has a chance of knocking him out. If he stays on the outside I think he will get knocked out.
For all his talk, I see Haye trying to be elusive and staying on the outside, so I'm going for a Wlad knockout in the middle to late rounds or a fairly comfortable points victory.
