When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

I don't think Wladimir or his team ever once said Haye would be quickly destroyed, in fact Wlad thought it would be a 12 round fight and a late knockout for him.
There are people on this site, myself included who thought (hoped) that Haye would get embarrassed but if you think mine or Lyle's opinion means something to the wider boxing community then sadly I think you are overestimating our international influence.
It was a massive shock to see Haye cope with Wlads right hands, the sad part is it came as no surprise to Haye and it didnt seem to spur him into action![]()

Exactly, apologize for what? You honestly feel that was a laudible performance from Haye? He didn't get destroyed because he fought a terribly negative fight in which Wlad was content to control him from range and easily win on the cards. That was the blunt of the smack talk coming from Haye in the lead up, yet he was content to be another overmatched opponent and last the 12. I wasnt rooting for either fighter and like any real fan was just hoping to see a good fight. Everything you post seems to be an effort to polarize and wind up those who are to thick to detect sarcasm, which is fair enough I guess. Just kind of boring in this case if you ask me. Haye deserves absolutey no credit for that after all of his antics, but of course you know this.
If he was perfectly sized then Jameel Mcline and Tye Fields would be naturals too.
I think its more a case of both he and his brother use their natural genetics to their best advantage. He fights in the perfect way to utilise his height and reach. Its too simplistic to say Wlad is 6ft 6 and 240 lbs therefore he is good. You could just as easily (in fact far more likely) see a 6ft 6 240lb fighter who was mediocre, slow and cumbersome.
Wlad wins because he is a great fighter. Sure his frame helps, just as Roy Jones was helped by his natural athleticism. But he should be given full credit for it, just like Jones Jr.
Haye, remove the A game, add the Pinky toe P. Hype.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
I really hope Haye does not mention his toe in every interview instead of just giving Wlad his dues... I remember Hatton bleeted about the ref in the Mayweather fight for months after.![]()
I don't disagree with you on that Fenster. I thought Haye would be stopped as soon as Wlad connected.
The first four rounds or so were pretty entertaining and he did give hope (or concern if you hate him) that he might land.
He didn't disgrace himself with his performance in the ring.
his pre and post fight comments though...
I guess maybe I don't read this forum enough anymore, but the criticism Haye had thrown his way seemed to be in vein of him simply not being good enough, having not taken the proper fights to prepare himself, and possibly not even believing in his own chances to win this fight. After watching that all of those struck me as very valid points, and Haye really showed nothing to disprove them. But he DID show a much better chin than I expected he would, so fair enough there. It's like Memphis posted though, the fact that he could take Wlads right never seemed to give him any more belief that he could actually beat Wlad, kind of sucked to watch.
