I must honestly admit to not being positive about how those odds work, not a gambler of any sort really. I would take it to mean that respectively if someone bet 700 dollars on Wlad, they would have made 400 on the win? 4/8 would make him a 2 to 1 favourite, then? I know it will seem a stupid question to ya but I only ask since those odds seem quite close, a lot of people surely cashed in on Wlad winning at that payout?
They could have done but being the british odds meant the bookies will have cleaned up. Before the fight Hatton held the record for most bet on british fighter when he fought Mayweather. The bloke from Sky Bet said that Haye was gong to take that record when he had his say on friday night. Brits are very patriotic when it comes to betting on their own fighters hence the reason the odds were close.
