@Rantacat
Yeah I didn't mind the Pacquaio Mosley fight either. I think people have such unrealistic expectations of Manny, they want him to fight the hardest fight, in whatever weight division they feel the challenge is at that moment and then whine and bitch if he fights anybody else. Manny is a true all time great and Sugar Shane is a sure future Hall of Famer who had done more than enough in his career imo to warrant fighting the two best guys in the sport in Manny and Floyd.
Was I disappointed Shane didn't have enough in the tank to push Manny more? Yeah for sure, I've always been a big fan of Mosley and loved him for his heart and it was sad to see him forced into a defensive shell in that fight. But Manny is a great fighter, and Shane is a little too long in the tooth now. I certainly wasn't spitting vitriol like many on here after with their whiny cries of 'Fuck Shane and Fuck Pacquaio, they didn't provide me with my level of entertainment!!!; etc etc.
Anyway back to this fight. I enjoyed it. Not a fan of David Haye at all but he proved he had a chin and was a legit challenge for Wladimir, giving him at least as tough a fight as any of his last 10 or so opponents.
Like Fenster, I'm not really emotionally involved in fights like some of you. If a fight is disappointing it doesn't really affect my life in anyway and I'm not bothered really. I thought the night was very entertaining over all. Watching a fighter of the stature of Lennox Lewis being kept waiting for 10 minutes whilst the camera crew respectfully stared up his nostrils was hilarious tv, then watching Big George fuck up his segment by rushing into Wlad's changing room too early, and then being late whilst shadowboxing as Wlad came out was priceless.
The first 4 rounds were fantastic I thought, looked like it was going to be a great fight. Then Wlad's power, size, strength and ability took over and David couldn't really compete.
I don't get angry about that though, that's just lame imo, Wlad was too good and won the fight, Haye showed he had a decent chin and lasted twice as long as I expected.
All in all a decent night's entertainment I thought and then I stayed up to watch the UFC, which was great was well. Good night of tv, but some of you have been whining all day.
Just develop other interests if you're night was ruined. Read a book or something, Go for a walk and smell the flowers. Plenty of stuff going on.
