I was reading boxing news and Wlad says this or that about Haye. His video was funny, but really. Sure Haye was god awful, and a friggin disgrace to the sport and had the heart of a chicken, but to me, Wlad didn't do much better at all...

You would think Wlad woulda seized the opportunity when chicken shit wasn't throwing anything. Instead we got weak ass jabs all night. GAY.

I don't enjoy watching Wlad fight at all; but in general if a fight stinks I find it pretty hard to fault the guy who is comfortably winning rounds with a big lead, unless there is a huge disparity in class to begin with. It's a savage sport, if your opponent's output is letting you beat him without going balls out I can't imagine wanting to do so myself. Of course some fighters really do wish to entertain the crowd almost as much as they want to win, but those are usually the guys who eat through a straw by age 50, I'd imagine. From a neutral standpoint the way Wlad has handled the second half of his career is quite commendable, he's made a killing, established himself as an excellent champion and will have all of his faculties in tact when he leaves boxing. Why on earth would he want to change that.

Considering both are big punchers and both have relatively soft chins for the HW division, it should have been obvious why this fight became more technical.

I didn't even really MIND Wlad vs Haye, it was a pure example of an all-skills fight. It has been regarded as a "high-level fencing match".

You can criticise Haye on his workrate sure.

Maybe it was because both fighters are so good and they both knew it that caution was the only wise approach to the fight. In the end Haye found out Wlad's length and strength were not so easy to surmount as he figured and was discouraged. Nobody was ever in serious trouble in that fight as a result.

I reckon Wlad can be excused for being boring in this fight since it was one of his best opponents and he still won a comfortable UD.

There was nothing resembling "cheating" in this fight either to pick on. Sorry that Wlad and Haye didn't stand in front of each other and trade punches like HW's of old until one of them dropped.

You complain about a winner!

There are rougher/tougher HW's out there right now who like to fight more like that but you don't want to support them either.

I know exactly what you're saying but as said Wlad does what's necessary to win. Nothing more, nothing less.

He is dull yes. For the sake of boxing a Haye win would have been the best outcome. The Ring had a go at him too.

I fought a guy on Fignt Night last night who jabbed me all ten rounds and I couldnt get close to engage. Sent him a message to say he may have won but he was fucking dull and scared of a tear up.

He never replied

Wlad won easily but he didn't dish out a beating. That was the biggest surprise for me

You also have to respect that it's the fear of getting caught which makes people fight so negatively against Wlad. For a guy with a dodgy chin to consistently dominate his opponent mentally like that is quite impressive as well, he's the epitome of a glass cannon in my eyes, only unlike most others he has recognized his flaws and built his style around it. Can you imagine if Wlad did come to the ring trying to put on a great show every time? He'd be the best example of a kill or be killed fighter in recent history.
