Its hard to look good when your opponent is just trying to survive. Wvlad has always been a cautious champ but he was going forward in this fight and was ahead. Cant blame Wvlad for this being poor. If Haye let his hands go Wvlad would have been forced to and we would have got a better fight. Instead Haye boxed like everyone else challenging the Klitschkos - No confidence and just wanting to hear the final bell.

We thought he was the man to bring some life and ambition back into the division. Now he moves aside and its Adameks turn

He almost sucked as bad except in the categories of rounds won, punches thrown, punches landed, and willingness to fight. The only edge Haye had in anything was bullshitting and total distance traveled on foot.

In my view this is SPORT not a rock concert. "Boring" is purely a matter of taste and ultimately irrelevant. Winning is what matters isn't it?

I mean does ANYONE want to make the argument that a fighter should fight in a fashion other than that which gives him the best chance to win?

Because of his pre-fight trash talk all eyes were on Haye.

And by that I mean that nobody that was watching this fight was watching anything Wladimir was doing, they were all watching Haye and waiting for him to do something. So you will have people say "Haye looked bad" but they won't say Wladimir was boring because they weren't watching him, after all the talk all eyes were locked in on Haye to see what he'd do and he didn't do much, so Wladimir didn't and won't take a lot of criticism because no one paid attention to him in this particular fight.
