"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Good fighter out of Kronk. Was seriously outboxing Rosario until getting caught. His chin wasn't the best.
What struck me was his inconsistency. When he was on, he was one of the best in the biz, but that version of Jones didn't always show up. Still, after flaming out at lightweight, he had some big wins at higher weights. And he did stop an unbeaten Phillips.
Good longtime contender.

Dude had skills, nice little inside fighter with little pop and took some when not necassary. I think his style betrayed him more than his chin really. He squared up alot and was subtle. He could stink it out but then again get into some srappy lesser wars like a Rupa, Gonzalez or Quiles, rugged Tony Marshall (brutal) etc. Thought he deserved nods vs 1st two and vs Stefan Johnson. Campas got him clean and ugly, as did brick throwing Rosario when Jones got lax and coasted. He stunk it out vs Whitaker...well they both did really. The Phillips cut, who was cut prior...looked like a small orange slice. Bit of a crap call but a HUGE cut none the less.

I thought his nickname was "BABYFACE"

Seems he was a bit all over the place best I can tell haha, changed as he went up in weight. Babyface early....Baby in most I've seen and I think "Mr" started after his 2 yr hiatus after Campas got him
Went and watched a few back. His biggest prob throughout was just switching stance, almost constantly...very crafty really but thats how Rosario pole-axed him, caught him switching. That and he actually said he had picture taken without his lucky hat for Rosario build up, so he'd never allow that to happen againoops
He was pretty capable of having hands almost in 'open palm' posture while inside and could pick off alot of shots that way.
