Marquez will get stopped if he faces Pac again imo.

He's been floored by Casamayor, Diaz and Katsidis since last facing Manny. He's on the slide and gets busted up big time imo.

I'd pick Khan, Rios, Gurrero and Bradley to all beat him at this point.

He wasn't floored by Casamayor, plus Manny Pacquiao hasn't faced a real good boxer in ages. Notice all his lastest opponents have been pressure fighter's, and that isn't the way to beat Manny Pacquiao.

Mosley is washed up and didn't even fight, all the other fighters you mentioned are all pressure fighter's who come forward. None of those fighter's are good on the backfoot like JMM.

Who fought like a pressure fighter though? I dont know about you but the recent fighters pac has face were running the hell away from him.

Im not saying JMM will win, what im saying is style wise he cause's more of a problem than those guy's did.

Joshua Clottey is flat footed and plod's foward behind a high guard.

Miguel Cotto is a good pressure fighter, but far too slow for Manny Pacquiao. And he can't fight well going backward's which is why he lost to Margarito.

I already said about Mosley.

And Antonio Margarito is all about pressure, but has no defense and is far too slow.

The way to beat Manny Pacquiao is make him come too you. Because he often goes off balance, and he even showed that in the Shane Mosley fight, plus if you look at the fighter's who gave him the most problem's Morales, Marquez.

What did they have in common ? they both fought brilliant on the backfoot, and counter punched very effectively making Manny Pacquiao off balance. None of the fighter's above are good at fighting on the backfoot, maybe Shane Mosley was at one point. But certainly not that version of Shane Mosley.

Is JMM the big underdog ? of course he is. But he was the underdog in the other two meeting's aswell. I think people will be shocked and JMM will still give Manny Pacquiao alot of problem's stylistically.

Im glad you said that, that means you can't say JMM lost cause of weight and he too is washed up.

I don't think JMM is shot but he's obviously not at his peak, and he will be fighting out of his peak weight. I won't be making any excuses though, but come on you have to be realistic here.

The reason why many are against JMM, is because he's been in so many tough battles. And he will be moving up to a weightclass he didn't look comfortable at before.

And he is in his late 30's, i don't remember a fighter at the lower weightclasses. In recent memory being that successful in there late 30's.

I mean Floyd Mayweather Jr didn't get much credit for beating JMM at 147, i didn't give him much credit either.

But i just think style wise JMM can still cause a problem.

Nice post. My own guess is JMM has never seen THIS Manny before. The technically decent, reasonably balanced guy who can, on occasion, show top drawer footwork and now a good right hand. I think it's too much.

On the late 30's lower division guys, that really is rare isn't it? Zaragoza is the only guy in the last 15 yeares who comes to mind. Before that Azumah Nelson. But that may exhaust my memory.
