Always good to keep your name in the media though, even if its not the biggest fight, he's trying to make a himself more of a household name, so he's got to keep getting out there!

I was against this when Roach first joked about it. Wanker.

That being said Morales would at least TRY which is a hell of a lot more than Judah looked to do.

I think it's an ok fight. He's still learning. I think people forget he's only 24.

Exactly! He's still only 24 and he's staying busy until he gets the big fights he wants.

We've covered this before but you'll seriously struggle to find any other boxer out there Khan's age who's faced the standard of opposition he has.

Everyone is making out he's the first person to ever fight a past it legend.

Amir is trying to get the titles stripped from Bradley as it is. Khan’s preference is to fight Bradley, he has done everything but call Bradley’s mother a whore, to get him to fight. This is a back up for him and if Morales does win then it is another strap for Amir to claim.

I think this would look a lot like Pac - Morales III. Khan is just going to be too quick for a faded Morales.

Sure Morales would try, and he'd have to do more then Judah, who only landed 20 punches the entire fight against Khan, but at this stage of Erik's career, a fight with Khan would have to be a total mismatch.

Ok all you whiners who are such doomers about everything, who would you have Khan fight?

Bradley won't go near him, he's already beaten Maidana and Judah, who were the other highest rated challengers.

Morales just fought a thriller with Maidana in what was one of the very best fights of the year, he's a massive name and it's a big interwst fight. It's also dependent on Morales winning his next fight.

So, as it's such a shit fight, who should Khan fight? How does he pursuade them to fight him? And what do they bring to the table more than Eric Morales?

People on here just like to bitch without thinking. They want every fight to be the hardest and best fight possible across the board, which is a bit difficult to achieve when one of these top opponents is fighting somebody else.

Also, they resent big stars winning world titles or even fighting for them if they don't consider it "just", but then whine when there is a mediocre champion holding a belt.

So if Manny wins a world title at a catchweight it makes a mockery of the belt, it should be vacant and fought for by two journymen, the p4p best fighter on the planet is not good enough to be champ, but they are.

Or if a fighter like Berto loses his title in his sixth defence he shouldnt be allowed a shot to win another, again a journeyman should be given his chance.

Then if a fighter like Saul Alvarez wins a belt he doesn't deserve it, he's not proved he's world class yet, he should be made to earn his shot as he might be just a journeyman. Then when he chooses a journeyman to defend against it's an outrage. He's handpicking easy meat, he should fight an established, proven star, like a former world champ who has just lost a world title...and round and round the lunatic statements go.

It's like people think there is an unlimited pool of top level elite opponents available for top fighters to face at all times...

I just wish people would think before posting sometimes as the gripes are usually very very silly indeed.

Ok lets try and go through this.

Here are the Ring rankings at Jr Welterweight. Please someone explain who is the better fight that Amir must take.

    1. Khan Top rated guy now according to the Ring
    2. Bradley, Khan has offered him everything, but Bradley won't fight him.
    3. Maidana, Khan already beat him, scraped a win over Morales last time out
    4. D Alexander, dominated by Bradley, most think he lost to Matthyse, many think he lost to Kotelnik, a guy Khan breezed by.
    5. Kotelnik, Khan already beat him in a one sided fight.
    6. Matthyse, has lost his last two including one to Judah, who Khan blew away
    7. Lamont Peterson, dominated by lightweight Brandon Rios. Was floored and should have lost a fairly one sided decision to Ortiz in what was a rather disgraceful draw.
8.Erik Morales, this guy makes sense to me. Big name, came so close to beating Maidana who gave Khan a war. Probably will be shortlisted for fight of the year.
    9. Zab Judah. Khan just stomped him
    10. Danny Garcia...err who?

So that's the shortlist, please someone explain why Morales is worse than the others on that list?

It might seem "very very silly" or like "bitching without thinking" to you Bilbo, but I have no interest in watching Morales in a mismatch with Khan.
