Comedy - 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'. John Cleese is the comedy master!

Action - 'Seven Samurai'. Not only is it the best action movie ever, but it is THE best movie ever, in my eyes. Flawless!

Suspense - 'Jaws'... it left a huge impact on me when I saw it as a child.

Horror - Hmmm... 'The Exorcist', 'A Tale of two Sisters', 'Kairo'... it's tough. Although not as scary as the movies I mentioned, I'm going to go for the Japanese classic 'Kwaidan'. More haunting than scary... and it is the most visually impressive film I have ever seen.
How about for Action - Lone Wolf and Cub series , that kick a** Samuri movie with Baby cart and them weapons ! that was the S*** ! Tomisaburo Wakayama was kick a** there were lots of movies in that series !

I have Shogun Assassin uncut on DVD, but I have never seen it broken down into the series. I also know there is a Shogun Assassin 2 which the supposed to be the second half of the series.

Do you know if there is a difference or how much is left out this way?

The 'Zatôichi' movies were awesome! They had great pure action... same for the 'Lone Wolf and Cub' series. 'Baby Cart at the River Styx' was my favourite from that.
'Seven Samurai' was the total package for me though... the setting was perfect, the actors were perfect for the roles (especially Toshirô Mifune), it was brought a long at a brilliant storytelling pace all culminating in the final stand off. I have watched it countless times and I still end up being as amazed as the very first time I saw it. Akira Kurosawa could write and direct like no other.
Have you ever seen 'Yojimbo', 'Rashomon' or 'The Hidden Fortress'? Those are all some of the many Kurosawa classics. Definitely worth checking out!

Yes ! Shogun Assassin was Great !, There are about 7 different movies in the series ! Called Lone Wolf and cub,Lone Wolf and Cub Baby Cart at the River Styx is the offical name of Shogun Assassin. if you have netflix like I do, you can rent all the movies in this series, as well as the The 'Zatôichi' movies . Netflix is a must for the die hard movies fan, because they have an extensive library of such films that would normally be very difficult to find. Good luck !
