Mosley did great but Collazo's stock didn't drop at all

Great to see Mosley back to top form. Now let's see Shane or Collazo fight the winner of Cotto Margarito

Yeh the power was noticeable. Collazo landed some peaches but the power just wasn't there. They actually looked like fight turning punches but the power is not there. Mosley used his experience well to look busier.

Surprised a little bit, thought Collazo would win 2 or 3 more rounds than he did. Sounds like Shane was just the better man tonight.

Tonight and any night he wants to be. He was the better man tonight because he is the better man.

Never did like that take on things ... 'was just the better man tonight.' It might be a valid statement in some situations but it is way over-used and masks the facts much of the time.

    It wasn't just about tonight.

Collazo will NOT be in a title fight any time soon.
Sure he was game but he got beat & bad.....
Why would you wan't Collazo to fight Cotto or Margarito if hes lost his last 2 fights?

Be better served to say I want him to face the loser of that fight.

But is that fight even happening anymore

How did his stock not drop? It might have been an exciting fight but from the sound of it...he got dominated. He's only 25 so it's nowhere near the end of the line but...Cotto or Margarito? No he's got to climb back up. He can be a force to be reckoned with, just has to prove it now.

Not to be so down on Collazo. I still think he has a future. But David Estrada fought Mosley too...

    Good point. amat......

I mean Collazos not the first to do so and won't be the last either....
I do think Collazos stock dropped and I do think we will probably see him anytime soon again on the tele.
Keep in mind hes a DKP fighter.

Where's P4P King? He NAILED that 1! Dam,I thought Collazo could do it,he needed to up his work rate though. Soooo,2 questions:

Was Collazo over rated and just wasn't as good as Hatton made him look? AND

Was Shane back to his best? Or was he doing just enough to win? I can't really tell by the RBR,and my fight is at 65%.

Collazo is not an easy fighter to look good against.
However you wanna rate him, a very quick slick defensive minded southpaw is never gonna be easy to look good against.
All kudos to Mosley for looking great against him.
I don't take anything away from Collazo. He could give trouble to any fighter on any given night with his style.
I said from the beginning that Collazo just doesn't press hard enough to beat someone quicker and slicker than him.
And whenever you have two quick slick boxers in there, the busier guy is most likely gonna win.
"Busy" is not in Collazo's vocabulary.
He doesn't have a lot of surprises.
Shane was just better than Collazo any way you slice it. But that's Sugar Shane. How many guys like him will Collazo have to face? Not many. His style just trumps Collazo's.
Against other top fighters who aren't as quick (Like a Margarito) I think he could give them a pretty damn frustrating night.

I'm sold on the idea that Shane is back in form.
And if he gets that year end fight with Mayweather, no one else in the sport has a better chance at beating Floyd in my opinion.
