Now this is silly. A legal fund established to pay for legal fees incurred while fighting a bunch of bs charges might be unethical. They should just forget the whole thing now she's resigning.

NEW YORK — Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Monday struck a "multi-year deal" with Fox News to serve as a political commentator and part-time host, the television channel said.
"Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the Fox News lineup," Executive Vice President of Programming Bill Shine said announcing the contract.
Palin, 45, "will provide political commentary and analysis" for Fox News's political and business news programs and will host "periodic episodes of FNC's 'Real American Stories,' a series exploring inspirational real-life tales," a company statement said.

I hope to God this means she's not running for President. Sometimes I think McCain vetted her by Googling "Hot and stupid".

It may shock you, but I am not a fan of hers

That is a bit surprising, but not really. You couldn't legitimately rail against Obama's lack of experience while lauding Palin.

In the spirit of detente, I will admit something about myself than may surprise you. From the limited knowledge I have about him, I feel that it is possible that Richard Nixon could have been a very good President if not for the Vietnam War. I feel dirty now.

Yes but the deal with comparing Obama to Palin is that Obama ran for PRESIDENT, Palin was running for VICE President a job so simple that Dan Quayle and Al Gore did it!!!

Nixon's issue wasn't Vietnam it was that he was too paranoid. Vietnam was started by the Democrats ILLEGALLY I might add, but never the less my stance on War is "If you're in one, you're in it to win it!"

That paranoia seemed to be exasperated by the war though. It's all academic anyways.

Regarding Palin, with John McCain's age there would always be the possibility that she could take office.

Well Obama picked out Joe Biden and being the first black (technically second since "Bubba" was first) President there's a chance however so slight that Obama get assasinated and we have Joe Biden as President......tell me that's better than Sarah Palin

Well, that's like asking if I'd rather be punched in the stomach or kicked in the balls. I'd pick the former, but neither is an appealing option.

I'm hardly a fan of the Democrats though, or of Obama to this point but lets not get into this sort of thing.

Only in America (or possibly Italy) could someone like Sarah Palin get anywhere near having any political power whatsoever.

More stupid than a big box of stupid things, each containing more stupid things, and on and on until you get such a concentration of pure stupidness, that their gravity would cause them to implode and create a small black dwarf star of cosmic idiocy.

That women is (or at any rate is happy to be portrayed as - which is worse) a caricature 'regular joe american', but getting it so wrong that she instantly alienated every other sentient being on the planet ... and that is a massive insult to their country and their people. Havent you guys learned your lesson after the last brain dead vacuous yet vicious moron you elected at least once?

I'd rather have Clyde from 'Every Which Way but Loose' as a my president than her.

America deserves better - even republicans deserve better.

Nixon was barking mad. He once sent the White House chief of staff to the Department of Employment to count the number of Jews who worked there because he thought they were making the unemployment numbers look worse than they actually were as part of a wider Jewish conspiracy to destroy his presidency. Henry Kissinger has to stop him dropping nuclear bombs on North Vietnam and bombing a dam that would have killed millions of Vietnamese civilians. Kissinger and the various defence secretaries had standing orders with the guys at the Pentagon who controlled US nuclear weapons that if Nixon rang them up in the middle of the night ordering them to nuke somebody they had to get authorisation from Kissinger/defence secretary first.

Could America elect a worse president than Nixon in future? You betcha!

I disagree Kirkland because if Nixon was "barking mad" then LBJ was off the fucking map.......and your precious Mr. Peanut (Jimmy Carter) is still a fucking moron
