It really aint about race or color, Pac is just a Beast. You can hit him but he too will hit you and it comes in combos.

How can you be slick and elusive against a fast combo artist like pac. You got 12 rounds to try and survive but it will be hell. Floyd knows this.
Yeah genius...how can you be slick and elusive and survive Pac...wait a minute...Marquez did it twice. Stop being a nuthugger. It's easy to give "hell" to fighters that are slow and walk into your punches. Don't jump off a bridge when Floyd does what Marquez did except 100 times more effectively.
JMM wasn't slick or elusive, he counter punched his way throughout 12 rounds. What the fuck are you talking about?

Floyd wont even get in the ring with pac cause he knows he aint going to be 100 times more effective against pac.

Your the one nuthugging floyds pussy where there once balls.
Yeah. If JMM was so elusive then how come he got knocked down 5 times (counting the one when he held the rope) against Pac?

Even a slow Barrera caught him with a good one (or two)

Plus Pac fought him twice in their best weight class. Floyd fought him at Floyd's best weightclass after he cheated JMM at the weigh-in scale.

    Floyd is catchable too...

All your Gifs are cute, but its boxing and they all get hit. Wheres the gif of JMM having Pac dancing around after a counter?

I know what you're talking about. Something similar to these gifs but JMM missed though.

Race does have something to do with it look at the string of opponents all are straight foward, slow afoot , and either close to the end of their careers or beyond. Ant to add the last few have been catch weight fights. So that means Mosley is the perfect opponent to smoke screen the lack of opponents that are younger, hungrier, quicker and yes black / latiin opponents.

Its all good, cant deny Pac is one of the alltime greats. Its hard to grade sometimes because of different eras and dynamics of the sport in those given times. Similiar to baseball in arguments.

Nothing wrong with giving Pac his props and glory.. I think his bigger opponents have been low hanging fruit of the division, but he has beaten them soundly and impressively.. He is humble and a real ambassador for the sport.. I changed my opinion on him after being away from here for so long and realized that my dislike for him was 1000000000% fueled by overzealous and sometimes misguided fans

Bernard Hopkins is certainly as controversial as he is outspoken. His observation about Manny, however controversial, states a fact: Manny has never fought a top African American fighter. The statement infers that Manny would have trouble with the style of Black fighters and has therefore avoids them. I don't think Bernard meant anything more sinister than that. If Manny's choice of Shane Mosley as his next fight was an attempt to address Bernard's contention I think it fails to meet the challenge. Mosley, once a great fighter, can no longer rise to the level of even being competitive with Manny IMO. Pacquiao's decision to take on the aged strapless Mosley who is comming off two poor performances instead of the young champion Berto who is comming off two impressive kayos has nothing to do with skin color. It has to do with minimizing risk. Arum’s ‘explanations’ notwithstanding, the Pac camp clearly recognize that risk is multi-racial, defeat does not discriminate.

He's a 45 (46?) year old black man from a major American urban center. Given the era he grew up in, race almost certainly played a huge role in his life as he grew up.

The article is about how Hopkins says that Pac don't fight top black fighters, as in African Americans with that slick style. You know like the Ray Leonard style that B-Hop was talking about.

BTW, just in case someone brings up Lebwaba and Clottey, they aren't african americans. And I think when B-Hop is talking about a top black fighter, he means black american.
hahaha ......ahhh the real question is why hasnt B-Hop fought any Filipinos? Oh yeah....is there a Filipino lt Heavy out there? welp...I checked boxrec, no Filipino lt heavy, you got lucky this time B-Hop!
