Well he might not of been the most fleet footed fighter but he hit harder then ali nd had gd handspeed nd as for the conn fight he may of struggled but con was fast clever boxer who made it difficult for joe nd its not as if ali found it easy against every one as he had plenty of trouble against norton spinks so i dont how u can use one fight to say ali would easily beat louis
Your not going to start a "No one had a better jab than Larry Holmes............Did they?" Thread are you?Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING

You answered my question Warren Conn was fast on his feet and very clever boxer just like Ali was except Ali wouldn't stand and trade and get koed while ahead like Conn did and Ali was well past it against Spinks and he gave Spinks lesson in rematch anywayOriginally Posted by warreng
and like i said before Norton had very weird style that confused Ali only 3 or 4 hws ever had style like Norton.
If you think about it how does a blown up lt heavy who 4 years ago you would have given a chance of beating anyone of the champions james Toney, go against Ali, I dont think so

ali takes them all. if he happens to lose one he wins the rematch.
yeah i c ur point about the styles but louis did go into the fight under 200lbs as conn was stepping up in weight nd he didnt want the difference to be to much plus like he won easily the second fihgt. but i still think louis would have a gd chance of beating ali nd u realy think ali would stay on the outside for the whole fight? i dont think he would as im sure youve seen his fights against foreman frazier or shavers. So for me this fight could go either way a possible ko or ud for either fighter.
using logic , one would think Ali would have been right in the thick of it .

#2 1990's Tyson didn't bob and weave and have great defense
#3 Patterson was just as fast, Liston was just as strong
.....Tyson's weakness was between his ears and in his chest and not in his style or skill
ali still becomes greatest of all time in much easier fashion without the political issues he stays focus on boxing and reaches an even greater level.
without him going to jail just continued with boxing all boxing in his life without the other hardships he delt with, ali destroys the 90s heavyweight.
Ali was robbed some of his best years and still was considered the greatest. Figure that out
