    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA FAGGOT

Castillo would have been an easier fight for Hatton then Ndou when it comes to the styles.

Its easy to say it isnt now, but people acknowledged before Malignaggi outclassed him that Ndou was Cotto's toughest fight at 140.

What Malignaggi has said in interviews is this

Castillo was is coming up from 135 with only a fight at 140 and will be the smaller man.

    Castillo is a shot fighter

Castillo went life or death with ndoujuo who just got beat by an old randall bailey(outboxed by randall bailey)

So in his mind, Ndou is a tougher prospect of an opponent then a supposedly shot Castillo. And I sort of agree with that. The Castillo fight is exciting, but I think from his last fight, that Castillo isnt the same fighter.

I didn't see Paulie fight tonight, but I'm glad he did well.
Ricky Hatton would destroy N'Dou and Castillo would probably beat Malignaggi worse than Cotto beat him.
Ricky Hatton can't destroy anybody. Even as a Brit I think he's the most overrated fighter in boxing. If Hatton and Malignaggi fight Hattons wins a highly controversial decision imo.

Malignaggi will prove himself to be the best boxer at 140 lbs over the next couple years.
although paulie is good i dont agree he would take Ricky Hatton he lacks in power and i truely feel ricky would wear him down to a hard faught win. i think it would be a good fight to be made in the future and paulio needs some more wins to get the hatton fight! i would like to see paulio fight DHOP or someone of a prosperous calibar at 140

I haven't seen too many of Ndou's fights, but he clearly has difficulty with a boxer who moves well and can control the fight from the outside. Malignaggi did a great job of exactly that. Not having loads of power, he also needs to be able to do exactly that.

Ndou would look better against someone like Hatton because Hatton comes to fight inside a lot. He says he is also a good boxer, pointing at his amateur carreer, but that's not what I've seen.

I'm not saying Ndou would beat Hatton, just that he'd at least have an opportunity to be in the fight. And that means his chances of beating Hatton are greater than his chances of beating Malignaggi were. Paulie wasn't getting hit much at all. Hatton would be getting hit. He never seems to mind that, though. Often looks terrible after a fight, face all swole up and bruised.

It's when looking at Ricky's face after one of his victories that I really appreciate the boxing style of a Floyd Mayweather who usually looks as good after a fight as he did before ...

As far as Castillo - I hope he's not shot, and that he comes in strong and wins against Hatton. I expect he'll do well but lose.

On the other hand, a Hatton loss to Castillo would just muddy the waters ... probably better for Hatton to win and then finally to face the top tier. Hatton-Mayweather would be a great match and would perhaps settle a lot of questions about both of these fighters.

N'Dou was handpickedfor Malignaggi by the IBF. N'Dou was given the title without even deserving it because they knew Malignaggi would beat him as the #1 contender. Malignaggi is a bum and won't ever beat a legit champion. he's an italian from New York and so he recieves way too much hype and attention. just like Gatti out of Jersey. Gatti for the most part has earn his rep as a warrior, Malignaggi is a pitty pat artist who try to be like Nassim Hamed a lil too much, Hamed actually had power. Malignaggi will be a local draw but will always fold under when against the elite.

Well, I wouldn't have put it quite like that, but N'dou and Ben Rabah were the top contenders on the IBF's rankings that were available for the fight for the title vacated by Hatton, so I'm not entirely sure how he could have been "handpicked", if he had to beat a good fighter to win the title. So Malignaggi being given an easy ride....not likely.

I've seen the malignaggi fight twice now and I think it was a terrific win for Malignaggi for two reasons: 1. he shut him out
    2. ndou is a veteran, top ten (140)

regardless of your opinion of either fighter for those reasons combined it should propel him to the top 3 or 4 of the division..

truthfully, i thought he might have been an overrated italian fighter going into the cotto fight but the courage he showed in that fight combinded with the complete round for round domination of two (cherry, ndou) worthy ,maybe not the best in the division, but still worthy competition shows he legit threat to anyone lighter than cotto

Welp...me cables back on & HBO is replaying the match tonight around midnight I believe...haven't gotten the channel guide up yet...but that's about the time it usually runs.

Was anyone overly impressed with Malignaggi?

Was it more N'Dou looking bad or Malignaggi looking great?

Just curious. I haven't read the coverage nor have I gone to any other sites for results...but one of me buddies said that Paulie won pretty impressively.

    Thoughts?

I thought Malignaggi looked great. N'Dou tried hard But Paulie had the fight plan to beat him and put it in place with style IMO. The ref gave N'Dou a pretty hard time and took a point off for nothing but it didn't really alter the fight much. It was a bit frustrating tho.

malignaggi was great.. ring generalship, speed combos, controlled the distance and pace of the fight.. and considering ndou was a veteran and and champ at that it was very impressive.. more impressive each time i watch it.. buddy makes him better and malignaggi listens and executes the game plan very well.. i think he is a top 25 fighter in the game right now. thats how impressed i was..

Paulie had an excellent game plan and stuck to it, and gained confidence (became more aggressive) as the fight went on.

Ndou kept acting like he was going to do something, but acted like he expected Malignaggi to let him get inside and then stand and punch before he started.

Paulie wasn't going to let that happen. Neither was the ref, apparently. That part was annoying but as stated probably didn't have an effect on the outcome.

Great fight by Paulie and I look forward to seeing more from him. I wonder, though, how he'll do against another boxer who has a strong jab and has more power than Paulie ... someone that could make Paulie have to come forward some of the time. Ndou just kept after him, and since Ndou wasn't scoring from the outside, Paulie could just keep moving away.

It was, interstingly enough, slightly similar to the Dirrell-Stevens fight that preceded it in except considerably better. In each, you had the puncher who pressed forward, and the boxer who kept moving. First round, I was afraid Paulie was going to replicate Dirrell's ultra-Mayweather performance, but he didn't. He used similar skills but actually fought the fight as well. Hope Dirrell was watching.

Yeah Wacko, Paulie was impressive. He outboxed Ndou and I didn't have Ndou win a round. He tried to be the agressor but couldn't get close enough to do any damage. The knockdown was a big surprise to me, but it was pretty fitting as he stunned Ndou, which he pretty much did all night.
