Soon enough there wont be any fans left if they keep doing this shit.
Before they announced the decision, I half expected some kind of screwy decision. The the two extra points in Collazo's favour, made a pretty close fight a convincing one for Collazo. 116-111 is fucking disgrace and that guy should be shot.

Collazo deserves an immediate rematch, anything less is criminal. Berto no way won that fight.
One thing Im not clear on...was there an actual KD scored in the first?? I didnt see that properly because I was having stream issues. The commentators kept alluding to it, but I only saw Berto falling backwards, not knocked down.

Either way, Collazo was hard done by.

Answer: As long as boxing doesn't put it's foot down and hold refs accountable for bullsh*t decisions. Also, as long as HBO, et al, exert influence over who should be the next face of U.S. boxing.

Decisions aside, your boy gave a great account of himself tonight, I had no idea his chin was that good man. I also had no idea he was capable of that output, good show.

I just hope collazo gets another shot, cause kellerman kept alluding to this might be collazo's last shot, why da fuck should it be We're to quick today to write of fighters just because they've had a few losses. hopefully this'll boost both guys careers, because berto didn't judge the fight and he can't be blamed for a decision that I think is bogus. Although as some others have mentioned I think the other big name welterweights take him out.

He surprised the hell out of me also, KS. Berto did tag him good, and I was surprised Collazo took it that well. And his work to the body was astounding. Overall an excellent fight, and a great way to start 2009.

There was no knockdown, Bob makes more miscalls than any other announcer I can think of. There was a round in the middle of the fight where Berto hit Collazo with a great jab and moved his head, almighty Bob say "Left from Berto misses"

I scored the fight 114-113 Collazo, but I don't think it was a robbery, there were definate swing rounds including the first, where Berto battled back.

I would love to see a rematch this was a great fight. I have lots of respect for both guys. People will say Berto is overrated, I say that's disrespectful to the effort Collazo put in, Berto is THAT good, and Collazo was right there with him the whole fight.

I myself feel that Collazo deserves the rematch. The fight was closely contested, and both left it all out there. And I'm not saying Berto is not a real good fighter, but it just irks me that when the networks single out the next phenom, it tends to skew things their way. Judging in boxing is anything but consistent, and that hurts the sport. I honestly thought Collazo won the fight tonight. Sadly, I think the rematch won't happen.

The thing is who is Berto gonna fight if he doesn't rematch Collazo? The winner of Mosely/Margo? Paul Williams? Cotto? Judah? I mean Collazo rematch doesn't sound like a bad option Williams/Margo are both just too big. Cotto is a question mark til we see his return against Jennings. Judah, has been written off by just about everyone. Those are the names that could get on an HBO bill IMO.

I agree on Williams and Margo... too big. We also have to see how Mosley fares against Margarito next week. He's another possible opponent for Berto. There's also Clottey. And yeah, let's see how Cotto comes back against Jennings, although my guess is he should be alright.

I disagree with the desicion .

I was hoping Berto worked more on the body. On round 7 it was clear how Collazo was hurt with body punches as well as the last round. Berto gotta improve his inside game.

Agreed...Right now Collzao gives a quality fight against any of the champions...He was robbed 3 times now....Maybe not the worst robberies but he was gypt and everyone knows it...Not many have denied it except maybe fanboy's of Hatton........

Collazo could have gotten the dec against Hatton, Mosley and certainly deserved it against Berto IMO........

Collazo is a legit title challenger and threat to all the champions out there....He is not in the Zab Judah catagory where he has been given chance after chance then just blows it by in ring antics.....He gives it his all...

    Certainly has heart.....

Showed me a great chin last night for sure

There is no was Collazo beat Shane Mosley that fight was not close the Hatton one i thought he won but yet again close the Berto fight i had Andre Berto winning the fight Collazo gave away rounds and Berto came back strong at the end of the fight and won 11 and 12 and that sealed the deal for him i think the ref help Callozo alot and leaderman ignored his work in alot of rounds he was landing more and the were solid punchs. Now if he faces Shane Mosley and Antino Margarito like that and trys to go punch for punch he going to get knocked out and Cotto i give him a great shot he does not have the best chin is open to uppercuts and has stamina problems all of which while help Berto out if he fights Margarito he better learn how to take a step back and box or somthing but i dont know and Williams i think is just to much for anyone at the divsion right now.
