anybody who thinks froch would get stopped doesnt know anything about boxing...B hop tonight didnt get stopped .. why the fuck would froch get stopped...when has froch been hurt ever apart from understaming the ginger chelsea rent boy groves? and he still got up and beat him !!! yeah JT knocked him down years ago but he got KTFO after that
andre inactive ward would get UD'd in england if that "champion" had the bollocks to defend his title on the road...muhammed ali and co literally defend the belts on foreign grounds...ward doesnt have the bollocks...froch will probably retire soon and i hope GGG beats him
Mini highlights Сергей Ковалёв - Бернард Хопкинс - краткий обзор 09.112014 видео
Froch has been hurt plenty of times, against Kessler, Pascal, Taylor, Ward, Dirrell, just off the top of my head. Maybe not badly, but he feels shots, and relies on being able to stand up to them. I think Kovalev has a different kind of power than any of those guys. I'm not even saying Froch would get stopped, but I don't think that's a foolish prediction given that he's never fought at 175 either and is getting up there. Most guys aren't Hopkins, Froch has been in some wars and has always been a big super middle, there is no reason to think he can beat Kovalev.
Kovalev didn't TKO Hopkins, so that means he can't take out Froch? What kind of lame logic is that? Hopkins is a wily old veteran who's never been stopped. He knows every trick in the book, and his game at this stage is all about survival. He'll retire without getting knocked out. Froch is a come-forward, tough brawler. The type of style that either gets the opponent in trouble.... or him in trouble. Not saying it's a foregone conclusion, but I can see where Kovalev could foreseeable take out Froch.
its a boxing fight you will get punched...if he was hurt he would have got KTFO or lost ?? he might have got hit but not hurt !!! we wont know anyway cos he wont move up to see if he could...but he should !!!
on a side note i am gutted B hop just got outboxed and battered![]()
Father time waits for no man, Hopkins included the tough SOB went the distance with a murderess
puncher, I don't like him but hat's off to him.
Kovalev had age on his side, Hopkins had experience on his, this time round age came out on top
fair play to Hopkins taking the fight, as not many wanted any part of Kovalev.![]()
I agree. Hopkins deserves credit for taking the fight and proving that Kovalev is not invincible. I have never been a great Hopkins fan, for me he has always been a spoiler, probably the best. No disrespect to Kovalev but a division that has a 50 year old champion cannot be in good shape. Bernard fought and won in a much tougher division before moving up into a weaker division. I feel a bit sorry for Kovalev, he could be a great champion, but who is there to give him a serious challenge and give him a chance to prove his ability. Bernard is a phenomally fit person with good attitude but should he carry on? I would like to see him hang up his gloves on a good note rather than being on the undercard.
No doubt in my mind Kovalev beats Ward now. Just too skilled and too strong. Froch gets destroyed by Kov too but it aint ever happening. Froch aint that stupid.
So he wasn't hurt after being dropped against Groves?
Mate, if that round was 10 seconds longer it would have been Groves KO1.
Froch is tough, he might not get stopped, but you can't say he wouldn't get stopped just because Hopkins didn't. Hopkins is a different case. Froch HAS been hurt and HAS been dropped. Kovalev hits harder than Taylor or Groves so it is conceivable that Kovalev could stop him.
Hopkins has a better chin than Froch (Froch has a good chin) AND doesn't engage in the brawls that Froch does.
