What is it you don't understand? Why would the mayor say please do not be alarmed? Everybody knows about the attack already if there's anything to be alarmed about it's at the terrorist or hitting your country three times now in the past two months. And yet he wants to say don't be alarmed at the police presence. On the contrary that is a very heartening and secure feeling to see a police presence period that is anything but alarming.

Yooooooo Brocko, baby, hold up a minute, you knowz I luvz ya, I wasn't referring to the content of your posts just the fact that you made 4 or 5 consecutive posts with no input from anyone else.

Please don't assume what does and doesn't bother me, I tend to skim read a lot of your posts because they can get a wee bit overwhelming at times, not the content I think it's just the way you structure your posts, I find them difficult to read some of the time.

That would not have helped and if the police with guns saw you then you better not have a gun in your hand.
By the time the cops show up the situation is usually over.

On the other hand I feel horrible for all you guys in England. This is just horrible stuff and I am surprised it not has it us yet, that kind of attack it is. Apparently these radicals feel committing these acts during Ramadan give them a specially blessing. It's strange in my faith if I go to confession during certain holy times we think it takes time of our stay in pergatory.

In all fairness to the police from the time of the first phone call to the 3 of them being shot and killed it took 8 minutes.

I mean that's pretty fucking impressive in my book

Fake News. You understand that's not what he was referring to right. It was the guaranteed build up of armed coppers and military type to follow. Fact is we've, we boastful Yanks with all the answers, have been wearing pistols on our hips and long guns on our backs from the very beginning. It's bred into our society, our Constitution and daily life. England..not so much. I understand the first officer on scene had to go toe to toe with a baton ffs and was stabbed multiple times. That will change.

It certainly is but in most mass shooter and terrorists events the event is over by the time the cops arrive

They're praising chair and table throwers for delaying the attackers. Imagine how a few shots would've delayed them.

That story was taken out of context perhaps but I am not taking it out of context. I'm not saying that don't be alarmed meant don't be alarmed about the terrorist. I am saying that I realize he meant don't be alarmed when you see all the police on the streets. But that was ridiculous to me because why should they be alarmed? Those police will be protecting them. I understand what you are saying about the they are not used to having guns like we have for example I have a concealed carry permit. So it's hard for them to understand that if I had been there and I saw those very first assholes get out and start stabbing people I would have blown their asses to Kingdom Come and they would be thanking me

Don't be silly Brock. Brits cannot be trusted with guns. It is a violent society already with rough areas and stabbings and drugs. The last thing you need is more dangerous weapons. There is a reason mass shootings are rare in the UK.

My issue with it all is how somewhere like Luton ends up looking like Pakistan. You would never think it is the UK. How and why that is allowed to happen is beyond me. I would hate to have entire communities of British riff raff around me, so it's not a racist thing. You want England to be English. You want Japan to be Japanese etc. Fair enough the odd teacher or indian cook etc, but entire sections of a city foreign? Nah, I don't think that works too well.

So you agree that extreme vetting is not racism? Glad to hear it... finally somebody with some sense in here

But to say that Brits cannot be trusted with guns isn't that a little bit negative and pessimistic? As long as the process gives a criminal background check a fingerprinting check and a general behavioral check during the interview and the waiting period why could you not trust a Brit with a gun? That seems a little bit negative to me.

I don't think guns mix with societies that drink copious amounts of alcohol or take lots of drugs. In an ideal society sure but things are far from ideal. Got to go with peace meaning no wars and sensible societal change. It's a bit in the middle rather than too much of any one thing.

20000 less policemen is reckless policy. Strong and stable May. Not really. She's all over the place.
