mick, if you want to see great goaltending, go back 10 years and search for Curtis Joseph footage when he was a Blue and an Oiler. Or when the Leafs played Carolina. The guy was almost unbeatable.

I hated the guy b/c he was the only reason the Blues would have any chance in hell of beating the Leafs. Then, in game 7, Wendel Clark rung one off his cage that spun his mask around. I remember hoping he'd be hurt.

Now he's my favorite player of all time. him and gretzky.
Cujo was outstanding back in the day. I remember watching him win a playoff series against Dallas all by himself one year when he was an Oiler.

I may be incredibly biased and this will certainly come across that way, but if he wants to see outstanding goaltending he should check out Roberto Luongo as well.

yeah, and you know what..no knock against Vancouver, but he'd be twice as good if he was on an eastern conf team like TO or NJ or NYR. Same for nabokov. They tend to fly a bit under the radar out west.

West Coast teams just don't get the attention of East Coast teams because they're games are always starting at 9-10pm Eastern time. Thus many writers don't get a chance to watch them. Luongo's performance in last years playoffs was the single best I have ever seen, right out par with those I've seen with Cujo, Brodeur, and Roy. If he'd had an ever half-decent team in front of him they would've gone far.

I've alerted Patrick Roy to this post, and he told me to tell you that he cannot hear you because he has Stanley Cuy rings stuck in his ears. But if you keep insisting in saying Luongo is as good as him, his son will be around shortly to kick your ass.

Ive allways felt bad for Bouchier
He carried the Flyers that one year, and he has never been the same since the defense tanked in the finals in front of him.
    Guy never recovered from that

I can't stand Roy. Next time you talk to him, ask him about that embellished, around-the-world save he made against the Wings. You know, the one that ended up in the net and eventually cost his team the series. I think Luongo has the potential to be every bit as good as Roy, he just hasn't had the chance to prove it. If you put Luongo in net for those Avalanche or Habs teams that Roy won the cup with, I don't think the result would have been any different.
I can't stand Roy, but that quote about the rings is hilarious. His son's a fucking punk bitch too, have you heard any of the rap cd he put out?

A few weeks back they played portions of it on a local sports radio show I listen to at work, I'll see if I can find a clip

Here you go, it's Jonathan Roy's Myspace page. He calls himself J.O.E. Daking. God, what a douche.

Here's a link explaining it all.

Well the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree though that is hilarious. I wonder if playoff beards will be the next big fad in rap?

As for Nabby being underrated, very true although most lists I see of the best goaltenders he is usually up there as high as he deserves to be. But he is talked about a lot less then he should be. Pretty amazing that he beat out Kiprusoff and Toskola who have turned out to be two of the better goalies in the league. I like Toskola.

Toronto finally offered the job to Ron Wilson, just don't see it being to good of a fit. Will definitely be awkward to be in the same room as Mark Bell again for him.

haaaaahahaha, meh, that's some funny shit. HAHAlarious actually. I'm not at all surprised. He could use more white pants shirtless pics on his myspace, but other then that, yea...purdy cool stuff.

And they wonder why we make fun of Quebec.

Nabakov should win the Vezina, but don't be surprised if they give it to Brodeur or Lundquist just because of the exposure they get.

I really, really hope Toronto gets nailed for tampering, what they're doing is fucking blatant and ridiculous. They're just setting the table for Brian Burke to come to town. He and Wilson are best buddies who used to work together in the minors. There is no way a coach would accept a job offered by a "interim GM" like Fletcher. Every GM wants to hire their own coaches, so unless Wilson had some sort of under the table assurance that Burke was coming soon, he would not have taken the job. Wilson could have pretty much any coaching job available, so it's not like he needed to take Toronto's offer. They've also been trying to give Dave Nonis a job, who is very good friends with Burke as well, dating back to their Vancouver days and beyond. Apparently Nonis would be the acting GM until Burke arrived to take over, either this year or next.

Fuck Toronto, I hate the Leafs and I hope they don't win a cup for another 40 years.

Those people bother me more then anytihng really. I know a handful of his types and I want to punch each one of them in the face. Nothing annoys me more then a shitty myspace rapper.

Brian Boucher? He's been wildly inconsistent through out his entire career. At one point he's setting the NHL record for the longest shout-out streak and the next he can't remember how to stop a puck. The guy definitely has talent, but just lacks the focus to maintain it.
