BULLET starring Mickey Rourke, Tupac and Ted Levine.. God I love this movie..
Ted Levine is such an underrated actor..
I just watched 'The Lost Battalion' starring Rick Schroeder. It was about a battalion of American soldiers in The Great War sent into the middle of the Argonne Forrest to fight the Heinie's (Thats what they called the Krauts/Jerry's back then) they were supposed to have French and American support on each flank, but they never had any support as both of the flanks failed to establish. Well the battalion now stranded without food, water, or supplies held their ground through wave upon wave of German attack eventually leading to the exhaustion of German forces on that one area leaving the Germans vulnerable elsewhere and they eventually lost that battle and eventually the war. Quality film, there's not enough done about World War I which was extremely interesting in the manner that military technology had advanced so fast but the men were still basically fighting in a Napoleonic way, holding lines, charging all at once, and the medicine was well behind the times as were the communications....freaking carrier pigeons were used!
Next in the queue is the 1st DVD of a set of a Documentary on the Great War....I still find it sad that General Phillipe Petain who really turned the tide of The Great War ended up being a figurehead of Nazi controlled Vichy France....such a sad ending for a great general.
Puss N Boots - It was fucken funny... Plus it was 3D and I don't think all movies should be 3D but it works well here.
Just watched 2011's 'Season of the Witch'....meh, the movie was so-so, but the leading lady (Claire Foy) was hot.
Its not quite Christmas movie time, but I've stocked up on Stoli so I can watch 'Scrooged' and drink the very 80's cocktail of Stoli and Tab hahaha.
That's why I'm upset at that movie. What you suggested could have made up for the lameness of the entire movie.
And just kidding, your breakdown of the other movie did not spoil it for me. I have the habit of reading the back cover of the DVD to find out what the story is about.
