Personally, I say that Miranda turns trick #25 & snuffs Pavlik out...& I really like Pavlik...we shall see.

Saturday night will be a good barometer for Miranda's abilities and future spot among the elite fighters of 160lbs. Many are writing Pavlik off, which may or may not be a mistake.

Wacko...you called me up on my prediction that Miranda would have the experience, and the tougher career prior to this fight, and that is why I thought Miranda would win.

Anyone know any good recipies for hat, cause I guess I'll be eating mine.

Having seen Miranda against Abraham I thought he would win, but Pvlik was very very impressive here tonight. He was as strong as an ox, and his chin was superb. It was also a fantastic example of fighting over boxing, with the skills not being at the forefront, but it was just a gutsy power-fest, and Pavlik must be delighted to have picked this one up. That straight/cross right hand of Pavlik's looked very good, and was the punch that really helped him to win that fight. I accept that I was wrong in my assessment that Pavlik had a padded record, and to beat Miranda, this guy has the right stuff to be a big name, no doubt. If he comes up against a true, evasive boxer he might have trouble, but overall, I'm very, very impressed with tonight's performance.

Pavlik is an outside fighter just like Jermain Taylor.

Jermain has a better outside style and skill then Pavlik.

Here's what's funny...I have always said that Miranda was a brawler puncher & that a boxer would beat him...the thing is...a few years back...maybe last year, I was really REALLY up on Pavlik but his in activity & his bout against Jose Luis Zertuche he looked really vulnerable at times & I kinda backed off of him.

What a difference a year makes. Miranda seemed like the sure thing for most fans, but it was actually Pavlik who was the wild card of the division.

I just never thought he could trade in that fashion.
