It's too obvious the judges are "contender" judges...a little too wide margins but whatever, 1 judge was legit

I didn't think he won by that much margin, but close. Was wondering how wacked out the cards would be after the Mora fight.

He looked good early in the fight. But was disappointed towards the end. Tackie's pressure was obviously bothering him

You're right. Tackie's a little beast; conditioned superbly. Good learning experience for Gomez, at least he's not a dickhead like Mora.

Oddly enough I had it 98-92 like one of the judges. The other judge had it 97-93.
I cant remember the 3rd judge.

If it was a 12 rounder Tackie might have gotten him.

Two judges had it 98-92; which is how I had it too. Yeah, Tackie was pressuring, but Gomez was still doing most of the landing. I didn't see Tackie landing enough to actually take but a couple of rounds.

Of course, the judges didn't have Teddy "Broken Record" Atlas in their ear saying "pressure" for the last 6 rounds...

I thought he looked embarrassed when they announced that judges score, but yeah boo hoo little baby. Good luck with Kelly Pavlik. Doubt it will happen...

I had it 6 rounds for Gomez 3 for Tackie I think I had the third or fourth even. So their scores werent outrageous IMO. I thought Tackie clearly had Gomez in trouble the last part of the fight and I score aggression as well as shots, and the power of the shots from Tackie were having more effect towards the end.

Atlas' scoring was typically bad, he, like he often does, only paid attention to one fighter, last night it was Tackie. He gave more credit to Tackie for walking forward than he did to Gomez for landing punches.

Either way, I don't see anything elite in Gomez, he's a likeable guy but pretty mediocre. Tackie actually looked more lively than I expected him too but didn't land that much.

Someone wrote earlier in the thread that I didn't like Mora? Yet I've never commented on disliking him?? And I watch the Contender now So get the facts straight!
