In the pro ranks, I'd have to say Chavez vs Pernell, the simple fact being that NO ONE disputes that Pernell won that fight. Other robberies in the past have people on each side of the fence, but there is absolutely no one on Chavez's side of the fence for that decision, which is amazing seeing as how popular JCC is.

Some decisions I thought were complete robberies...

James Toney vs Sam Peters 1 (Had toney winning 8 rounds)
Tito vs Oscar (had Oscar winning convincingly)

Dave Tiberi vs James Toney (Toney came in out of shape, gassed, and pretty much dominated)
I'm so glad to see someone else thought the same as I did about those two fights!

Hey ICE, that's your 3rd JCC fight mentioned on this post. He must make your list of all time least favorite fighters.

Not at all bro i respect JCC but Whitaker fight was robbery the La Porte fight alot of people had La Porte winning including myself and was considered a very controversial decision and Taylor fight well theres two sides to that arguement but imo that was robbery also.

Agreed with you on previous post that he was losing to Taylor, but still don't think it was robbery on that one.

    Oh! oh!
    They're on to you ICB.

I like to think that the JCC vs. Pernell fight was just too hard to call I mean look at the rounds and look at who was the agressor, look at who was the more elusive, the one who fought entire rounds, the one who used more ring genralship.

How many times does the JCC-MT stoppage need to be disscused?

Going by the rules, which is what Steele is supposed to do cause hes ref. he did the right thing. Hes not a time keeper he is the ref.
A fighter got knocked down, he began to count he saw the fighter was hurt so he took the next rule.
Steele: Are you OK? Are you OK?
No answer from MT Steele looks at him again and waives it off.
By the rules of the sport MT lost, in peoples hearts he was robbed.
    Unfortunately theres a difference there.
1 is a reality the other is an emotion.

Well said. Sometimes, we as fans, get so emotionally involved with our fighter that we forget that it's sometimes better for our fighter to lost immediately than be punished gravely.

We should also consider our fighter like any ordinary human. They can be permanently damaged if the referee allows them to be a human punching bag.

Holyfield Lewis 1 is the one that pops up in my head. How can you beat the shit out of someone for 12 rounds and walk away with a draw.

watch that fight again and tell me if Taylor deserved a draw. Wright won it clearly.

Thanks, and believe me I know that all to well.
There was a point in time where I would get to emotional with fights and the outcome of fights.
I've entered a rehab center and I'm doing better now.

Chavez got schooled Mick your excellent poster but this is were we disagree completey the first 6 rounds were close i had them even after 6 rounds then Whitaker really pulled away and won by 3 rounds on my scorecard even Chavez's fans knew Chavez lost i seem to remember them booing the decision and staying silent through out the fight because of how much Whitaker schooled Chavez i don't really want to get into the Taylor vs Chavez debate like i said two sides to the story i believe Taylor got robbed you believe it was fair lets leave it at that and whats your views on Juan La Porte vs Chavez ?? La Porte deserved to win my eyes and alot of people agree.

Well yes he did Wright didn't do anything in last round and left it in the hands of the judges it was very close fight certainly not a fight i would call a robbery.
