Round 9 = Mollo comes out clinghing right away, he has nothing left, Golota is landing punches on the inside but not effective punches. Mollo lands big left hook out of nowhere but his punches are so sloppy now he has nothing left. More clinching, they clinch again, Golota's eye does look a mess, Golota landing good punches on the inside Mollo looks like he is just surviving now, GOLOTA LANDS GOOD LEFT RIGHT COMBOS AND MOLLO IS HURT, COME ON MOLLO THIS IS TERRIBLE CLINCHING A POINT SHOULD BE TAKEN AWAY, GOLOTA LANDS RABBIT SHOTS GOLOTA HAS HIM ON THE ROPES AND IS LANDING GOOD PUNCHES WOAH BOTH MEN STUN EACHOTHER AT THE SAMETIME WITH PUNCHES AT THE BELL.
88-84 GOLOTA
ROUND 10 = Terrible clinching from Mollo i think he should have point taken away, a right hand runs Mollo but he takes it well, more clinching. Jeez about time the ref warned Mollo this is terrible, Golota wobbles Mollo with a left hook and he lands 3 good shots, Mollo is on the verge of going down but somehow Mollo is surviving. WOAH BIG LEFT HOOK FROM GOLOTA, MORE CLINCHING ANOTHER BIG RIGHT HAND FROM GOLOTA AND 4 MORE AT THE BELL MOLLO ALMOST WENT DOWN.
98-93 GOLOTA.
Boxing ain't just about Cory Spinks though Maj, heart and guts come into it as well. Mollo is much the smaller man but he's giving it everything he has. Are you even watching this fight?Originally Posted by Majesty
Stylewise Mollo is like a heavyweight Katsidis, not the best, not even close but damn he's exciting to watch.
is this in slow motion?
just curious
Andrew Golota vs Mike Mollo
Round 11 = More terrible clinching for about 40 seconds no joke folks this is terrible clinching a point should be deducted. More clinching nice right hand from Mollo but no steam on it. Andrew Golota vs Mike Mollo
Round 12 = Golota's eye is vitrtually completely closed that is damn nasty, More clinching as they start the 12th. Right, left, from Golota. More clinching, sloppy punching from Golota, more clinching Golota is basically winning the rounds because all Mollo is doing is clinching for most of the round. WOAH MOLLO IS STUNNED BY A RIGHT HAND HE ALMOST WENT DOWN BUT HOLDS ON TO GOLOTA AND KEEPS HIMSELF UP, WOAH ANOTHER HARD LEFT HOOK FROM GOLOTA MOLLO IS STUMBLING ALL AROUND THE RING ANOTHER RIGHT FROM GOLOTA WHAT IS KEEPING MOLLO UP I DON'T KNOW, UPPERCUT FROM GOLOTA WHAT HEART FROM MOLLO HE STUNNED GOLOTA WITH A LEFT HOOK AT THE BELL.
118-111 Golota.
tipping my hat to Golota, he didn't crack under pressure and that eye was awful.
Total punches = 251-187
Power punches = 223-173
All in favor of Golota.
Judges scorecards = 116-110 116-112 118-109 Golota wins UD.
I agree that Mollo has heart, but when have you ever seen Katsidis that exhausted or clinch that often. Besides Katsidis is a power punching machine and Mollo doesn't compare on that front either.Originally Posted by Bilbo
Great fight really enjoyed that.
You can moan about Mollo's clinching but come on he was out on his feet from about the 8th round, he did amazingly well to survive.
He's an exciting fighter and although he's got no chance of winning a major belt who wouldn't want to see him in with the up and coming prospects?
Guys like Chazz Witherspoon, Chris Arreola, and old timers like Rahman, Brock etc.
Those fights would be crazy exciting.
He's so small though he could easily drop down to cruiser, he'd be dangerous there for sure.
Ok guys the big one coming up next be a weird and exciting night of boxing so far lets hope its end with a good exciting fight.
I enjoyed the fight as well. Good HW fight.Originally Posted by Bilbo
