Was it?I have'nt seen the new version what came out about two years ago so i do apologize if its not the new one.The old Friday 13s are good, but i do get a bit tired the Jason wont die no matter what you do to him!
The movie from a few years ago was Freddy vs. Jason. Before that was Jason X. This new movie is kind of a combination of the first three movies. He didn't wear the goalie mask until Friday the 13th Part 3 in the original series. He wasn't even the killer in the first movie. His mother, Pamela Voorhees, was.

I loved those movies. True, they aren't cinematic brilliance, but there were good scares in them for me when I was a kid.

Cool Re: What Scary film really scared you shitless?

LOL. Nah, I'm just an old dog who occasionally learns a new trick. I used to sit in my dad's old basement alone as a kid and watch those horror movies. See my parents were split up and I lived with my mom out in the country. Cable tv wasn't available out there, so watching movies at my dad's was a treat once or twice a month.

It brings back a bit of nostalgia.

One movie that scared me quite a bit as a kid is a movie that has really stood the test of time: An American Werewolf in London. The sequel in Paris was a piece of shit, but the 1982 original starring David Naughton was a fucking masterpiece. The howl STILL raises the hairs on the back of my neck if I hear it in the dark.
cant believe i forgot that one its a classic scared me shitless, but as a kid didnt find it funny but do now & still scary, its a really clever movie. i remember the bit where he is dreaming & he is in a bed in a forrest i think then he bolts up, arrrrgh that shocked me big time

Aye,that is some gory scary film mate!I remember watching that as a kid too and it gave me really really really bad nightmares. The makeup and effects are awesome in it as well as the bus crash in the middle of London.

One really scary film that i find really hard to watch alone even known im 27 year old now is "THE ENTITY".That film just scares the shit out of me.I've only watched it twice and it makes me shit me pants! Its based on a true story. The effect are realistic too!!!!!Have you seen it?

Just watched it. For an older movie, it was really good. The sound effects, special effects, acting, and soundtrack were all first rate.

I found myself trying to figure out how they did the music. It was obvious how they did the special effects of her boobs moving, they brought in the real ghost and he did it for them.

KIDDING! It was obviously rubber prosthetic boobs and they suctioned the air out in tiny compartments to make it look like the boobs were being touched. Real boobs are more jiggly.

Nice detail on the boob scene mateYeah the warm up music before the ghost appeared scared the shit out of me alone.I tell you what,,to be honest, its the scariest film i've ever watch....."EVER!"I mean the effects are soooo realistic and the music is soooo unnerving and the fact that the film is based on a true story!!!

Believe me for the people who have'nt seen the "ENTITY"film watch it!!!!!Mind you it will scare you for real

I think that actress, who played Carla Moran, also played John Glenn's wife in The Right Stuff. Regardless, the movie was pretty creepy. I didn't realize that the big block of frozen helium was the size of the creature. It had to be bigger than an elephant.

Red face Re: What Scary film really scared you shitless?

The music hypes it up to be scarier than it really is. Without the music, it's 40% less scary. I think it's mainly hyped because it is supposedly based on a true story. To tell you the truth, I think it's about as "based on a true story" as The Blair Witch.
