Happy New Year.. Hope the family is good

Why did you change your name ? What does your new one mean?

CC returned and best wishes to you and your family in the new year.
I changed my name because...well it was an idea from my trainer....
And theres a bit of a story behind it, oh well here we go.

Cuchulain is Irish gaelic. It means "The hound of Cooley."

The name comes from Irish folklore. A young man by the name of Setanta was out one day playing hurling (like hockey) on the lands of Cooley, who was the King of Ulster (North part of Ireland.) By accident the King released his hunting and protection hounds and they made an attempt on Setanta's life. Setanta fended them off eith his stick and as the most ferocious of the hounds went for him he struck the ball and lodged it in the hounds throat. The dog died and the King was agrieved.

When he asked "who now will protect me?" Setanta came forward came forward and said "I will be your hound" and he became Cuchulain. He served in the army of Ulster and fended of all enemies and it became apparent he was a bit special, in fact the tales claim he was the Irish Achilles (before Achilles came about )

This dude was the like superman. To this day he's "Champion of all the heroes of Ireland."

Eventually he was killed by his best mate Ferdia in a battle in which they both were slain. Cuchulain was giving him a proper whipping until Ferdia cheated and cut him with poisoned baldes, Cuchulain did a Julian Jackson on him n then wept at his fallen friend.

And thats what the name means.

Ha Ha, it's just a phase I'm going through I reckon, I'll be Hitman again before Ricky's next fight.
Thats only the beginning of the story actually. The weird thing is theres actually more (mythical) documentation about this guy than there is about most Irish History!

The spelling is adapted for English, but if you Google it you'll get a whole bunch of Cuchulainn stories. Not that i expect you to be interested LoL

My holidays were good. My girlfriend went out and bought a bunch of stuff for me I wanted to get a new snake, a King Cobra, but haven't found the one I want. How were your holidays? That new kid coming soon or what? Best wishes

Cool, that your girlfriend forced some Christmas onto ya, LoL!
I think it's such a cool interest to have: Snakes that is. To have an interest in nature and it's protection is pretty nobel I reckon.

As for my Holidays, well, what I enjoyed most was just kicking it at home with my family and girlfriend. Sure I had fun with my friends but it got old quick...
The little one is due in May, but both my other half and the doctor have their suspiscions it will be in June. Looking forward to it in a big way
