All three games yesterday were shite. They really need to start thinking about getting rid of the tradition of the Lions playing every year.

This is shaping up to be a real back and forth tonight....10-7 Saints 2nd quarter, thanks for that pretty i.t Brady
.......winner takes the superbowl
......my daiquiri runneth over tonights
oops I mean the Saints take the superbowl![]()
The 9ERS! have a slight shot at a Wild Card ticket...
Wow! The Saints are patriotically rapping New England tonight. Oh shit!
WOW is all I can say about the Saints I really think there destined to win the whole thing this year. There playing inspired football. My hats off to Drew Brees and the Saints Who Dat Nation.
No way, keep the Lions on Thanksgiving, they invented Thanksgiving football.
Though Manning is the absolute QB of every circumstances and perhaps the best that has ever been overall, The Saints look a bit too much on a mission excelling everywhere not to be favorite at the moment. They are playing well everywhere and the way they spanked the Pats is just hallucinating...

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
My boys play Ganggreen (Jets) tomorrow night. Looking forward to this game ever since we fired our head coach seems like the team is playing with a little more confidence, god I couldn't stand Dick Juaron.
The Vikings plays the Cards, that shhouuulld be a loss for them and we play the SeaHawks, which should be good for us even though they have been playing better behind Justin Forsett (Cal guy). If that goes down like it's planned, we're 1 game back in our division. That's probably are only shot. We have the Eagles and Cardinals left as the really hard teams on our schedule. The spread offense looks beautiful but against Seattle I expect them to bunch it up more as Gore owns them.
I hope we get it together...
Gotta love Gore, Crabby and Davis.
They kick ass hope they can stay healthy and keep producing.
It's like Singletary said, at this point in the year we have more weapons in the passing game then we do the running game. Earlier in the year that just wasn't true and that's why early in the year it was probably the right call to have Shaun Hill as QB.
We won our first 3 games and and 59 minutes of the next one for a reason. In the Vikings game we kind of got burned for putting our defense on the field to many times in the 4th quarter. That was kind of the slow shift to Alex Smith and the spread offense. Gore went out that game, most of our o-line went a couple weeks later and then Crabtree signed.
Once Crabtree signed, Shaun Hill had Glen Coffee and a hobbling Gore tto give it to with a very banged up o-line using reserves and guys from the Jaguars blocking for them. The downhill running game just wasn't there anymore (and wasn't totally there at any point in the year, even the wins) so Mike Singletary surprised me with his versatility, bringing in Smith and not being afraid to go against what he said previously. This is when I knew Singletary would be a great coach past all the ra-ra stuff. Dennis Erickson, Mike Nolan and even Mariucci once his screen passes were shut down just weren't adaptable enough. You have to play to your teams strengths and that's why we saw Smith in shotgun almost 30 times last game, that's a big deal because it allows for those split second reads where you give your playmakers (Crabtree, Davis) chance to do just that.
At the beginning of the year our passing game pecking order went something like this.
Gore
Davis
Bruce
Morgan
Coffee
The only guy who got to compile some gaudy numbers was Gore and Morgan and Bruce just weren't terrorizing any defenses.
Now we have Crabtree at the number 1 receiver, Bruce has gone from number 1 to reserve "mentor" as Singletary has said. If no one picks him up after this year, he wants to get into coaching so he's getting an early start. In addition to Davis we have DeLaney Walker our second tight end who is probably one of the speediest tight ends in the league, he's been very good when he's inserted into that spread offense set. Jason Hill has also had a very good past few weeks, taking his spot from last year away from Brandon Jones. It looks more like this now.
Davis
Crabtree
Gore
Morgan
Walker
Hill
Obviously we just have more in the passing game. I'm very excited for this group, I think Smith has played excellent and believe just as Jimmy Raye said 'bordering on great' because look what he was thrown into. They say there might be a QB controversy next year, how? Shaun Hill may have as many wins but he obviously just doesn't make best use of our assets like Smith does. Unless we can get like McNabb or a really established winner, I don't see how you don't have Smith as your no. 1. Btw, he's 25 years old, which means by QB years he is still very young.
I think we can win out, but I worry about Philadelphia especially is DeSean Jackson is active. Jackson, Macklin and Avant doesn't really seem right to meOur defense isn't really the fastest thus why we get beat to the edges by guys like Steve Slaton and Chris Johnson and not by guys like Adrian Peterson or Michael Turner. Same goes for recievers.
Well my boys got beat again, just puts us in a better drafting spot so I'm ok with it I new the season was over anyway. Gotta give it up to the Jet Revis is one helluva CB could possibly be the best in the league. He has shut down some of the best WR in the league this year.
Agree with you on Revis, his stats this year on the best receivers are phenomenal, but I thought the Bills were in with a shot when Braylon Edwards let that catch bounce of his head when a catch would have been a nailed on td.....nobody within 20 yards of him. If Sanchez is out for the next few games its goodnight for the Jets though.
I don't know about your coverage of the game but with mine they had the stats up of the best receivers he's played against this season and showed he held people to some really terrible stats. Sick numbers!
If it wasn't for our defense, this season would be embarrassing. I think Washington and Jenkins being hurt took down some of the morale but I see the Jets being a serious team within the next few years. Our offense is so shaky because Sanchez is inconsistent but he's showing flashes of potential.
If the Jets win the next two, we should be in the hunt for a wildcard spot and I would be at the next game against the Falcons front row! TOO EXCITED!
