Joe Calzaghe fought Jeff Lacey who is pure garbage. Joe Calzaghe wouldn;t last against Miranda in the middleweight class. He is dodging Kessler just like Jermaine Taylor dodged Kelly Pavlik by setting up the fight with Cory Spinks. Yeah Taylor will proabably beat Spinks but there is a rumor going around that Taylor is fighting his last fight and is going to give up the beat but as far as Calzaghe saying that he wants Taylor or Hopkins. Lets see he fight Kessler before he thinks about coming over here.

Only once and that was his last fight where reports say he looked out of shape and slow.

And a wet behind the ears rookie Calzaghe who hadn't fought anybody, was in his first world title fight and had trained to fight Steve Collins

People seem to forget, that although Eubank was past his best, Calzaghe had nowhere near reached his best!!

..and shoot me down in flames people, but I think Eubank's performance against Calzaghe was up there with his best, he actually came to fight, which he hadn't sone for 6 years!!!

If you think he is fighting Manfredo because he wants to appeal to the American crowd I think that is silly attempt. First of all, no one has heard of (OR WILL HEAR OF) Calzaghe except for hard core fight fans, the same people that KNOW he should be fighting Kessler or someone else legitimate. NO one but fight fans know who Manfredo Jr. is either!
As a middleweight toney struggled against not very talented boxers. then he got fat and lazy. toney if he wasnt such a fat lard arse could still be a middleweight. Calzaghe is a true pro who always keeps himself in top shape. you dont see him walking round looking like the pilsbury dough boy.

calzaghe has also travelled abroad and defeated an undefeated fighter in his own country.

Yes weight drained old shot Eubank.

Totally agree Big H, im very dissapointed in Joe at the moment and the path his carrear has taken since the Lacy fight, but Eubank obviously not in his prime, but nowhere near shot, he moved upto Cruserweight to fight Carl Thompson who was a big banger and was beating him and if you saw the two men they looked like 2/3 weight divisions apart thats how much bigger Thompson was, Eubasnk eveentully was stopped due to a big swollen eye, but was never in real trouble and if it wasnt for the power of Thompson would of won the fight, Clazghe was a 25 year old novice who schooled Eubank.

I think this is bit untrue mate arguably Calzaghe's performance against Eubank was his finest ever Eubank was at Lightheavy at first if i remember he had to lose alot of weight in short amount of time and still gave good account of himself and Calzaghe wern't that much of rookie 22 wins 21 kos.

Mate Calzaghe was a total rookie, he hadn't fought anybody and took on a guy with 20 or so World Championship fights

All the haters came out calling Lacy a rokie after the JC fight and said he stepped up in opposition too quickly after 22 fights Well JC did it and he won!! But he was a novice and that makes the win all the more impressive

He had loads of experience in amateurs had fought for British Title in pros and 22 fights 0 losses is just right time to fight for world title imo i know what your saying and i do agree with some of it and im not trying to argue but i don't think he was that much of rookie plus he put Eubank down twice i think that was one of his finest performances only one that is better is Lacy fight.
