My stream dropped for the last round, but honestly, neither one deserved to win. Shane looked old and slow. Mora looked like his normal douchebag self. Shane should walk away now. This is the message.

So what do we think, seems like both cards are ridiculous.

I thought after an awful start it became not a bad bout. The last two rounds were really good. Mosley won in my eyes, certainly more so than Froch beat Dirrell.

I think a draw is probably fair. I know I felt that Mosley won 6 rounds fairly clearly.

For sure, Merchant seemed to be much more in Mosley's favour, but Merchant does always like the aggressor.

I agree about Fischer, bit of a bellend.

I think the draw is fair. I had it 4-3 Mosley when I stopped scoring it and I felt that he won two rounds, 11 and 12, after that. I do think that if anyone deserved to win it was Mosley, but he just looked god awful out there.

I didn't think Froch beat Dirrell in any way shape or form, but I had Mosley winning here. It was pretty bad, I will re-score a good version tomorrow, but that was absolutely fucking shit in my eyes. I had Mosley & tbh I feel like I gave Mora what I could partly because the comms seemed so set in his favour. I don't think Shane is as shot as some do, but even given style & size issues with Mora, he should not be in a close fight with him.

If they really had it 10-2, they're as retarded as Fischer

You have to credit to Mosley. I really thought he looked gassed afted 8 and was clearly losing at that stage, but like against Cotto he simply dug in and ground out the rounds. I need to watch the last 2 again, but by all accounts the championship rounds were all Mosleys. He showed that his stamina wasn't completely shot, but if he lost this then his career would have had nowhere to go. He knew that.

Mosley should be on dancing with the stars, his got the jitterbug down. I actually dozed off a tad with all that clinching. Aggression didn't win this fight. It should have but Mosley couldn't pull the trigger. When I think about it, neither man did anything to win so a draw actually seems appropriate.

The only payday at 147 for Shane now is against Berto & at 154, it's only really Cotto. If he can't get either of those to make a good payday, I want him to call it a day. I felt the same watching both the Pac/Cotto & Floyd/Shane fights & that was of a superior fighter finishing his opponent's career. Granted Cotto may have beaten Foreman, but I think the first half-decent guy who is in there with him & he's getting stopped.

I think Shane probably could win a belt off Bundrage or one of the above, but he doesn't really need to & eventually he'll face someone who will badly hurt him. Leave it while you're still near the top

I think Berto beats him at this point. SPeaking of which, when the fuck is Berto getting back into the ring?

I still don't see that happening, whoever the matchmaker was for this fight needs firing because although he's not great Mora is terrible for Shane. Surely they had some face-first brawler they could give him?

I think Berto is back on the co-feature to the Marquez-Katsidis fight. Most likely fulfilling his mandatory against Selcuk Aydin

I'd still like to see Shane sign off with a fight against Berto.

I won't be too harsh on him. Sergio is one of those really underated fighters imo, most people just say he's shit because he was a reality fighter.

But in reality nobody has ever had an easy night against Sergio and he did have a significant age and size advantage over Mosley.

Sure a prime Mosley would have beaten him, and Shane has definitely slipped a bit, but Mora getting a rather lucky draw against him doesn't mean he's finished.

I still think he gives Berto a very hard time and it would be a great way for him to bow out win or lose.

I like to see old champions pass on the mantle to a young pretender and Berto is the closest to his spiritual successor. I still want that fight to happen and I'll be rooting for Shane, although I accept he'll be the betting underdog.
