You had to figure Zbik would have just about needed a couple KD's or a KO to win tonight, there's no way was he going to win a decision in front of the home crowd.

    Punch stats:

Punches landed by Chavez Jr. on Zbik = 255

Punches landed by Zbik on Chavez Jr = 386

So who do you think really won this fight?

I officially hate Chavez Jr., and can't wait to see him get KTFO.

I agree with the complaints about the low blows of Chavez Jr. He did it all the time and simply ran in with his head at his waist swinging at the body. What else can you do but push on the head and hope the ref does something about it?

Amen, although, Jrs body work could actually make something happen.
Like his hits to body alot, but that barn door defense is going to come with heavy tax

Him and Cotto. I've been a huge Cotto fan for years, and instantly became a fan of Martinez's from the moment I had seen him fight a few years ago.
I figured you were a fan of Cotto, we get to see his bulge in your sig, coming out of the swimming pool every time you post something. (I don't look, honest)

The fucking ref must have been on the Chavez payroll, he totally ignored Jr's repeated low blows.

You aren't the first one to comment on that.

Even though it is a hot shot that I love, I like to keep that on there in order to annoy you guys.

G'nite ladies & gents, the boxing was a little disappointing, but then, with the pugs fighting, WTF else could you really expect.

I don't think it was that bad of a scorecard. 116-112 was probably right imo. Johnson was quite effective early on, but at the end of the day all he did was plod forward and throw the overhand right. You don't wins fights throwing single shots. As usually the commentators were giving rounds to Johnson, coz he landed 2 good shots when Froch won the other 2 minutes 50 seconds of the round.

Totally disagree & I've rewatched it this morning. Froch did nothing but land a job on Johnson's gloves for the first 3 rounds. He stepped it up in 4 & 5 using his right hand. The 6th was Johnson's coming back I felt, but I could at a push see that being Froch's. 7 & 8 Johnson landed not only the harder shots, but he actually did more of the work. 9 was a big Froch round & the 10th was fairly close, but as last night I'd give the edge to Froch. Similar story in the 11th & 12th, Froch just did more with his combinations. So that on reflection is 114-114. I'd say 115-113 either way is fair & 116-112 either way is a bit of a push but understandable. I simply can't see either fighter having an argument for winning 9 rounds of that. There were at least 4 clear rounds for each (1,2,3 & 8 for Johnson) (4,5,9 & 11 for Froch).

However, Froch was not winning 2 mins 50 seconds of any round. He only fired combos off when Johnson landed & even then he was usually overlanded over the whole exchange. Johnson did start looking for the right hand too much, but Froch spent far too much time just jabbing without landing because he was on the back foot too much & he seemed to spend at least 30 seconds of every round turning his back on Johnson as he walked away. The final few rounds suggested Froch could have won that more convincingly, he finished it stronger, but the early & middle rounds still factor into the scoring.

This, I think Froch spent more time turning around and walking away with that body language it's hard for me to give someone a round when that's what their defense is, a younger Johnson would have jumped all over him when he was doing that.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
