Mayorga quit! The massive hit from Cotto's left hook is the culprit.

To quit as Mayorga did is as sissy as can be. He spent half his camp wasting time in ridiculing good people and good ambassadors of the sport at that, only to show a total surrender at the first sign on goin' on a horizontal exit on this one.

It's funny, how losers go high and mighty just so that they'd make up and save face from bold predictions gone embarassingly to mirror hollowed minds!

I guess the high road makes me a loser in all activity in the bashing and in the name calling action to which I do not envision myself to get involved in.

funniest shit was the only thing that ross talked about leading into this fight was that Cotto was a quitter and Mayorga was gonna force him to quit, ohhh the irony
Mayorga won 4 rounds and hurt Cotto throughout the fight. He fought his heart out and tried to get Cotto into a brawl but Cotto knew better and chose to box and run and jab.

After that, Mayorga came out in the 12th knowing he needed a knockout and was behind, got caught with a great hook, then proceeded to shit and piss all over everything he did tonight and QUIT.

Absolutely heartbreaking and disheartening to watch.

Mayorga failed. Again. For the last time.

IF he had gone the distance then that would have been something. But NO, he chose to FUCKING QUIT...

I don't blame Mayorga for quitting. Hell... after that flush left hook landed, I'm sure he wanted no part of Cotto. The truly ironic thing here is... and I'm siding with El Terrible on this one... is that had it been Cotto that quit for the same reason... we would've never heard the end of it.

Matter of fact, where the f*ck is Ross?!? He's the one who's bent on calling Miguel a quitter. What about now, f*cking Ross? Who quit tonight? Double standards are a bitch, man.

The fact that your a virgin who has never put on the gloves and had a fight himself makes you a loser.

The fact that Mayorga, a 10 to 1 under dog, fought his heart out tonight makes him the opposite of a sissy. He's the former welterweight champion of the world. He's a warrior.

He did disapoint me tonight, hand injury or not, but he gave Cotto a hell of a fight.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Just saw the fight, that was a bizarre ending. Was it a left hook and then Mayorga looks at his left hand as he takes a knee. Weird. Mayorga continued on and did throw that same hand. I dont know what happen there. I knew Cotto would beat him up though.

Come on now, I doubt any of the Mayorga backers would have actually put money on him winning. So you picked a guy who was what, a 10 to 1 favorite to win, you are supposed to be a expert now? You talk about a high road, right after you basically do what you say your're above doing....lol.

The left hook to the right side of the jaw must've sent a jolt of electricity through the arm and into the left hand. Only explanation I can figure.

A man with so much brashness and malice towards Cotto as Mayorga carried himself, to quit in that manner and deprive Cotto his just due, his sense of redemption from this ridicule, is unacceptable.

Ricardo should have tried harder to back his big talk with a bang, wether it was Cotto's or his'. Whimpering demurely at the first sign of danger and just within a grasp of the final bell is inconceivable coming out of that drama.

Just my two cents Johnny, just MHO.

I don't think Mayorga "put up a hell of a fight", he spent most of his time saying Cottos shots didnt hurt him instead of actually throwing his own shots. Was a pretty shitty effort by him if you ask me. Cotto didnt do what ODLH and Tito did, he just stayed back and jabbed and kept his distance. He may have gotten the tko earlier if he actually did what Mayorga wanted.

I want Ross in here owning up to all his shit talk. But as I accurately predicted, he's nowhere to be found.

Kinda hard to call a guy a quitter after taking a 11+ round whipping and plugging forward throwing wild bricks of his own. Tko'd yeh...but 'quit' nah. If a guy looks to ref, waves his hand around after clear knee caving left hook, isn't that even more impressive for Cotto or any fighter, in a twisted way. I thought Cotto fought a very compact smart fight, solid counters from beginning to end.

I'm not much into calling fighters quitters, and I'd rather just say that Cotto kicked his ass. However, it burns me when Cotto is accused of quitting against Margarito, when his nose had been broken by "now suspect" gloves and had his face completely disfigured before he took a knee against Margacheato. And the same people who called Cotto a quitter (which is the LAST thing to call the man), and nowhere to be found to see what they think about Mayorga's stint tonight. To be honest, none of the replays showed him hurting his hand, and the timing was kind of suspect, 'cause he had just taken a crashing left hook to the jaw. What I hate are these f*cking double standards.

He posted in here a couple of times right after the fight.
